Great videos here. Extremely thorough and slow enough to note key parts. Great Job!

If you go to the Annotate Ribbon, click on the little --> arrow in the Dimensions section, you'll open the Dimension Style Manager dialogue box. There is a button called Modify which you will click on as well which will bring up the Modify Dimension Style Standard dialogue box, from there go to the Primary Units Tab and change the Unit Format in the drop down box. Yes there are several steps but you can get used to that with practice.

@maniaustralian did you try using a "," instead of the "."?

@lidoz I don't think you get what I'm saying. When you say TAB and enter 90 degrees to go straight up, that 90 degrees is in RELATION TO THE X AXIS. Say I want 85 degrees from my last line (just off perpendicular), but my line is already on a downward slope of 35 degrees below horizontal; Am I expected to do the math and go 180-35= 145, 145-85= 60 and type a command for my line length @ 60 degrees? The only shortcut I found was to rotate w/ copy and it gives me the annotated angle between.

your tutorials are anazing. thank you very much.

How do you produce a line with a known distance at a specific angle RELATIVE TO THE LAST LINE YOU DREW (and not relative to the x axis)? It seems primitive to have to take out your calculator and trace the angle back from your last known angle from x-axis.

@radumbm each page is defined in presetting with different parameters. So first see what are you page units it could be already in mm. Or start a new one and click on autocad icon topleft, then go to drawing utilities and define ur units, ft, m, or mm... that works for me

How are the units expresed?how much should i write in the command for a line of..let's say 10 mm(millimeters)?

in the bottom left read your coordinates if they are in the order of 1000 units and u want to draw a line that is 10 units ull only get a dot so... try zooming in:D
@lidoz13 жыл бұрын
@johnchristianfraser Make the 1st line, or any line you want. (remove auto snap and all this on the bottom). Then as you are ready to define the second point on the second line with the mouse, dont click anywhere, instead type the distance lets say 100ft, then press TAB then you can type the angle where 90degrees is vertically up then hit enter and ur done! Having the dynamic input makes it easier to see. good luck!
