AutoCAD Tutorial - Preparing a template with a title block

How to draw a perfect rectangle for the Title Block: before drawing an arbitrary rectangle and eyeballing it to center, you can : 1. Click the Layout Tab at the top. 2. Click the Rectangle button. 3. Click "Fit" at the bottom (options for your Rectangle, displayed within the Command Bar). 4. The rectangle that is created is a Viewport. Proceed to trace over the Viewport with a rectangle (use Layers, example: Viewport. Don't forget to assign lightweight to differentiate, if desired). 5. Select the viewport and delete it since you will not be using the Viewport as your line for your Template Title Block Border line (use layers, it will make your drawing skills much faster). Note: The rectangle will fit perfectly on top of the dotted lines. Those lines are determined when you are in Page Setup Manager, and they change based on the size and type of sheet you select, example: Arch D vs. Arch D expand. Note: Any page you select that is proceeded with "expand" pushes that dotted line out further, I think that pushes back the printing bleeding border back a bit further than the standard pages sizes that do not have "expand" at the end of the page size.

Quick tip: Command: selectioncycling. Helps to choose between multiple lines layered on top of one another. Select option 2 to help select between lines after you select on multiple lines with a single click.

“You can’t make your border line up exactly with the paper outline” Very knowledgeable instructor here. Doesn’t know how to start his rectangle at 0,0,0.
