I did my first autocross with my BRZ last December at COTA with Spokes. Did a couple runs with a camera in the back looking over my shoulder: the windshield view was total white out overexposure. Did the last run with the camera on top, but the wind noise in the microphone made the audio useless. Going to do a dash mount next time and probably go with a side mount like you suggest. I've also been thinking of mounting one on my tow hook on the right front corner which is a really cool perspective and will let me see how close the cones are on that side. I invested in a RaceBox Mini, and a OBDLink MX+ too for data collection with RaceChrono and have plans to hack the CANBus for more data like steering angle and brake pressure. Can't wait for the first race of the season next month!
