In this Autodesk Inventor tutorial I've created an alloy Rim, globally based on BMW M5 dimensions. I use only common Autodesk Inventor features, so this makes a great model for beginning Autodesk Inventor users. Autodesk Inventor is used for the entire model, in the beginning I've placed some renderings from Autodesk Showcase, but as you can see the renderings from Autodesk Inventor itself are very good as well. In fact the ambient shadows in Autodesk Inventor look very good and are very fast to apply to your model. I show how that's done in the end of the video.
In this Autodesk Inventor Tutorial I made a mistake during the video.... I cut it out using video editing software. I'm wondering if anybody can notice it, do let me know if you do.
If you have any questions about this Autodesk Inventor tutorial leave me a comment and I'll try to reply

This video was very helpful like the ones which does not contain voice. We have mouth for eating, not speaking. I guess there is no need to explain something or talk or make watchers feel comfortable. That is incredible beneficial to us

Your video is nearly 18 minutes, but I spent 4 hours pausing and rewinding but was successful at creating a wheel of a similar design. Now I will repeat the process at least 3 times till I am able to recreate another wheel in 20 minutes. Thanks for your video showing how a professional quickly works with Inventor.

@@616Metalhead616 Thanks for the hint. I had no idea if there would be some commenting by the author for the video, or not. There are instructional kind of videos on youtube, similar to this one, with music (useless) and comments by the author running at the same time. Your suggestion ain't helpful for those, is it?

And for music you don't like, i was just sayin' that you could just mute it. ^^ And i know these videos with just music, some is good, some is shit.., if i don't like it, i just mute it. Done. There is a weird curve on the screen. Bang! It's a wheel. Then it's filled with some random-shaped staff. Bang! It's a surface. More operations with angles, lengths and other parameters, which don't look like something we'd expect to see. One click and it's an ornament. Can imagine myself drawing the whole thing consequently, line by line.

I work a bit different, but this is as good as any. Only "tip" would be to try to do the pattern at a later stage so you have less commands in your tree. It's perhaps not needed here, but at larger projects, having like 40 different commands instead of 20 is a living hell. Good work with the splices dough. I hate those. So hard to get right.

im complete noob, but how would you determine if your rim is thick enough to support vehicle's weight? How do you know if the design wouldn't bend or twist when vehicle accelerates/brakes etc...? Also is there some other specs you need to consider, like weight, material, compatibility with other parts, etc? How do you know your rim isn't too heavy for example?

... Your barrel wouldn't be able to retain a tire mate.... You'd nee 90* surfaces for the tire bead to seat... a tire would just pop off this rim and never seal. Just a heads up, there is a large amount wrong with this if it were to be produced and would likely only be good for a diecast car. Looks decent though, good job. Props for getting the lug pattern correct! I learned some neet shortcuts thank you.

My thought is that if this is a tutorial, then why would you not slow down the process so someone would NOT have to pause the video every ten seconds to actually follow along at the speed that you're going, and why would you not ADD audio so someone could understand the why and what for's of your work flow?
