Autodesk Revit: Extending Wall Layers

Can you extend layers on both sides of a wall? For example, say you have a 2x4 with drywall on each side of the wall. Can you extend the drywall on each side?

If only Autodesk would get off their ass and let us do this horizontally too. Very annoying that this feature hasn't been rolled out after all these years.
