Thanks for your videos boss. I have question about lateral buckling values . Why you didn't take into consideration that rafters fixed with sheeting this mean no lateral buckling
@EngineerHunter3 жыл бұрын
Normally rafters are connected to purlins or girts. In case the sheeting is connected directly to beam or rafter, you can consider there’s no lateral buckling at the top flange.

@@EngineerHunter boss please I have another question. when you define a parameter for a column why did you choose purlin z to resist buckling kz (this not a strut beam to resist buckling in this direction )

method of direct analysis, I don't see any p-delta analysis?
@EngineerHunter2 жыл бұрын
Once you choose DAM, the program will include P-Delta effect.

Thanks for sharing! can you explain how difference between Direct Analysis Method or normal analysis in Autodesk Robot steel warehouse analysis?
@EngineerHunter3 жыл бұрын
If You meant DAM and Effective Length Method, the main difference is you can use K = 1 for DAM but you have follow the instructions of DAM. There’re many more differences.

You can use a strut beam to resist buckling of member as well.

@@EngineerHunter in your example are we should put struts or purlins will work as struts to overcome kz buckling
@EngineerHunter3 жыл бұрын
In this video, I only focused on main frame members, meaning that i assumed the brace members were okay to be used as brace members. However, we need to check the brace members as well either strut beam or purlin.
