Great presentation! Just checking for me, I want part A to show on the model in 3D model but want to use another part B exactly the same shown in 2D dwg but don't want part A but part B only shown in the bom, would that be phantom when ordering all the materials i need?

Can you make the reference item appear normal in the dwg or does it have to be shown as hidden lines?

Hi, i want to display BOM structure that if the parent item has quantity greater than 1, the child parts underneath of that parent will multiple with that qty. Any body can help please.

Hi Hung, Thank you for your question! If you edit the parts list then, then expand the parent. Then click on the Group Settings button. Then check the Group box. Then in the first key select part number. Then click apply then ok. Then you will show the quantity of the child parts in the parents. Note this will not call out the parent in the parts list and description is automatically generated. Jeremy Gerdes|KETIV Applications Engineer

@@KETIVTechnologies love the videos, I wish more cad solutions providers went to the same rounds! So I do a lot of work with aluminium extrusion. typically we have panels on most of these extrusions. I created an excel that allows me to calculate the price of these panels. I was able to seperate the Panels in my Bom as I had them categorised as Purchased parts and was able to filter them in the parts list using the purchased parts only Filter. Now that I see what the true use of the purchased Part BOM category I want to use that for all the parts that are required to be ordered. This means I need to create a new class for my Panels. This leads me to my question can you create a custom BOM Category. Eg: Inseperable, Purchased, Refernce, Normal, "Panel". Hope this clears things up. Thanks

You still didn’t show how to create a configuration in the BOM like you title describes. Would like to see how a configuration is created in the bom. Ie. -“partnumber-1” “partnumber-2” with qty changes reflective in the bom.
