This was a great video and very helpuful. I have a question: while solving the model, in the Nastran Output tab there where 2 warnings. What are those about and are they critical for the solution? Thank you in advance, Alex.

Excuse me Mike, did you also had to divide the force by 4 as you divided the zone where the force is applied by 4?

You are correct, the load should be 1/4 the total...

Thank you for the video. I have a question: What if I want to simulate a pipe welded to a flat end. Will it make any difference if I apply "Shell" idealization to a pipe faces and "Solid" to a flat end? And is it ok for welds connecting pipe and flat end to have "Solid" indealization?

Symmetry is going to save you runtime on symmetrical models.
