GREAT VIDEO!! Is there a video available for the changing of rear coil springs on a 2103 Mercedes Benz ML350 4Matic W166 Chassis? Thx!
@autodocuk Жыл бұрын
There is no such video on the channel, you can find this information in the technical documentation for the repair of your car.

@@obnxsdonky9394 it is my part of the world. Nver sold here . E43 and E55 in tiny numbers though.
@RothBeyondTheGrave10 ай бұрын
@@obnxsdonky9394not sure what part of the world you live in, but w210 E430 (not sure we got the 420) almost don't exist here. I've seen more E55's actually. As far as w210's go here (Northeast in US), there's basically nothing but tan on tan E320's.

Do you recommend realignment after following your procedure? I don’t see anything that’s adjustable but thought I’d ask.

Please clarify or rephrase your question. Best Regards AUTODOC

When you remove or loosen the lower rear control arm to change out a spring, there appears to be nothing adjustable. However, I thought I read that Mercedes recommends an alignment check, which sounds like a waste of money. What are your thoughts!

Is there an alternative to using the pry bar to line up the control arm? Mines on Jack stands so I don’t really have the room to put a pry bar in there
@autodocuk2 жыл бұрын
We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic.

Use a shorter pry bar

What will the symptoms be when a spring fails? Isn't the shock that usually fails first?
@autodocuk5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question! The first thing you will notice when a spring fails is the reduction in the vehicle ground clearance (height). Best Regards, Autodoc Team

@@autodocuk Hi I have w210 e320 mercedes year 2000, facelift. It was lowered on cobra springs, now it has settled too much rear rubbing, I am thinking to put back original springs but probably time to change shocks. I live in New Zealand they have only meyle brand, I am not sure if its any good. Any suggestion? do you have anything?
@rodchamp75105 жыл бұрын
I heard a loud crack behind my head and now Merc is slightly lopsided - very slightly - ride feels more wobbly too, still drives ok - I’ve bought 2 new rear springs to be fitted this week - hope mechanic doesn’t say its shocks

Nice vid, but it doesn't work so well... the special tool "spring compressor" is unappropriate for w210, it's a real mess. Thank you anyway for other informations

you should never spray any lubricant or anti-seize spray near a brake disk without protecting the face of the disk first as this can contaminate the brake pads and in result effect braking!

Thank you, we will definitely take this into account in our new videos. AUTODOC
