Was that creaking sound coming from the steering wheel? It's the little details that make the difference and RR or LR or even Jaguar just don't have the eye for them. I like this reviewer. He is obviously not a fan of RR and he has this subtle way of showing it. Very professional dude!

Hello. Even though this video is nine years old it just showed up in my feed. I very much enjoyed it. This review kept me occupied as I have had both a 2010 for 11 years, and currently a 2020 for 2 years. Since my experience was both before and after this model, I found the evolution and comparison entertaining. I enjoyed your comment of how "the space had to come from somewhere" and the occasional challenge on small European roads versus "our freinds in the US having great parking spaces" held relevance to me. Residing in the states my current 405 is a long wheelbase and looking back to that purchase my choice was somewhat of a mistake. Streets/avenues/home driveways are of generous proportion where I reside but I frequently drive into downtown chicago. The city streets are a challenge considering the extreme length of this current vehicle. I have had a couple of long wheelbase German cars that felt agile (length specs are nearly the same in comparison) but city handling of this current model can be arduous. Again, nice work on the video. You have a great tone and personality so I look forward to watching other videos on your channel!

By far the best review I've ever watched. Those minor quality issues would be a deal breaker for me especially when you think of the price tag. IMO I would buy a Cayenne. It has good off-road performance but more importantly the best on-road driving dynamics of any SUV. Oh and its Porsche.
@autogefuehl9 жыл бұрын
Winter99ize Thank you very much! Did you see our Porsche Cayenne review? Furthermore, there will also be a BMW X6 M50d review soon, that one will also be interesting as this one has also superb driving dynamics for an SUV.
@ea91679 жыл бұрын
+Winter99ize To be fair, the things in the video might just be on the model he tested, but the one we have doesn't have the squeaking issues. Only problem are the SUPER SENSITIVE ELECTRICS which decide to bong up error messages when there is the most minor of things wrong with it.

Great review, keep it up! It's funny when he said these flaws wouldn't happen in German premium cars but then made a comeback with the emotional tone of the car. :))

I can tell you fell in love with this vehicle haha . The cost of the Vehicle is to high , but i like the all terrain features . The upcoming camera feature in the front where they install down facing camera's to allow you to get a see through the hood and engine view when driving off road to see approach to rocks and obstacles so you know how to turn the wheel's will be a great feature not present yet on this vehicle. Good review ! Joe
@autogefuehl10 жыл бұрын
TechExplorer Thanks Joe! haha, you've seen through me ;-) Yeah this car is really adorable although it makes no sense if you think about it on a practical level. But sometimes, things just have to make fun. That new hood will firstly be available in the new Land Rover Discovery Sport. Very much looking forward to that one, because it will be cheaper than X3 / GLK / Q5 - but maybe be as good as they are. Lets see....

Really good review. Well presented and produced. Couple of questions about this car ... Is it stable at high speeds? (It has a high center of gravity) What do you mean when you say it's "emotional"? Is that good or bad? Thanks for this video.
@autogefuehl9 жыл бұрын
gdwfs Thanks for the feedback. Stable at high speeds: Yes, of course not as stable as a sportscar but it is well controable at higher speeds as well. But (!) you should not go that fast with such a heavy car in general, because it takes time to brake the car at that weight. Emotional is always good :)

Always enjoy your videos! Class act . . . like the Range Rover! As for the car, so much attention to detail . . . hard to believe those little flaws got by them, especially the seat belt receptacle. Those little strange noises would drive me crazy . . . should be non-existent in such a luxurious vehicle. Love the styling. Simple is better.

Especially off road you need a full size spare tire I think.....they probably left it out as a false sort of cost saving, or to save weight. Perhaps next time LaRo could also remove the rear seats? That would make the car even lighter ;-)

Hallo!

1:09 The headlight design bugs me. The light in the bottom corner of the headlight cuts into the grille and disturbs the line instead of the edge of the grille being straight. It also disturbs the line of the headlight and does not really add anything. The Range Rover design is all about strong square shapes and straight lines. It gives the appearance of a car that is chiselled out of granite rather than molded by the air. And as you rightly point out, the grille says it is the boss. But it cannot be the boss and yield space to a chinzy light.

Actually it's not like that! Jaguar Land Rover is owned by Tata Motors, which is indian, but their vehicles are designed conceived and made in the UK!! The Tata Group just puts production money leaving brits much freedom of creation
