Man this Z06 is crazy as it is, but that just tells you how fast that plaid is, this is literally the 1% of C6 Z06 naturally aspirated builds outside of a stroker, and even then they were neck and neck from a roll. So if you have a C6 Z06 with less power and more weight than this, you’re going to lose pretty bad. If the plaid traps around 150 in the 1/4 on a good day, that means this Z06 is close to that as well, crazy fast for being naturally aspirated.

Awesome C6Z. FBO/E85 LS7s I've seen doing into the 140s, to be trapping 150ish to be door to door or slightly ahead of a Plaid with no Nitrous/boost and just parts/tune optimization is nuts. Thats a great setup. I expected the car to be geared crazy short but it appears to still be able to rip up top as well. I love watching the new king shit get beat by ICE cars, especially manuals, and N/A is the icing on the cake. That being said, no doubt the Plaid is so over the top ridiculous to be that fast off an assembly line. It's a weird time we live in. Great video as usual 👌

Cars dont have souls and they are really nothing more than appliances in the end. I think Whatever gets the job done. There is something positive to be said for a car that can seat 5, has warranty and and had the level of speed where it takes built vehicles to go after it. Sure it takes much of the tinkering out of the vehicle but its not built for that. Its basically a daily driver and not even the sports car of the brand. In defense of the tesla when the vette hit 4th gear Tesla already hit limiter at 160 that’s why u see him pull like that go pro won’t be as accurate as he probably hit 160 on tachometer for the plaid first before the go pro that’s why u see the c6 pull at the end but since both cars are very quick hitting 160 comes real quick and Tesla is governed at 160 limit. If the plaid didn’t have a limiter the race would be still be close race.

HOW DID I MISS THIS DROP?!?!?! Wow that C6Z is insanely fast for a NA only build!!! Very hard to believe he's actually jumping out on a Plaid at the hit, that's just insane! BTW, I still wouldn't call this a max effort NA build since he's still running a hydraulic lifter cam. In fact, I'm shocked he isn't using a solid lifter stick with a build like this! I mean honestly, what's the big deal with adjusting valve lash every so often? Small price to pay for that extra power and RPM potential...

Both cars are awesome would be happy to own either one for sure. Figured I'd ask some car people on here if you guys had a 160k car budget what car would you get? I'm still trying to decide on a fastI'llr. Ill probably get lots of hate but so far Tesla Plaid is on the top of my list as it seems as though most other 1000 HP cars break often (unless that's not true and people are lieing to me) and I want to drive my car not have it in the shop every other month seems the Tesla would be great for that. But Figured some of you guys would have some more cool car options for me.

Lots of people say lots of little things love to break I figured a lot of those people don't even own the car and are just hating on it.

It’s a good point! On paper there isn’t anything that can compete…..The plaid is a bone stock 5 passenger luxury, quiet, no maintenance, family car with video games and advanced technology with a warranty that costs 10x less to refuel….and if you strip out 5-600lbs for a track day can run 8.7 in the 1/4 mile. the c6 z06 is a legend and I want one, I prefer the looks vs the newer vettes , it’s lightweight, I wouldn’t put those gurgling rough idle cams on it but that’s how he’s so fast, he sacrifices smoothness down low for top end power, and it sounds great at WOT! It’s the last of its kind, no more NA 7.0L engines will be coming out so….get one while they are still available. They will be worth big money in the electric future.
