The song is about this girl called Etita whose life cut short when she boarded Uean Te Raoi The Second (the ferry) that meant to take people from Tarawa to Maiana but capsized between the two islands. The song also says that Etita and her mum lived in the United States and the two came to Kiribati for a holiday and to see their family. This tragedy was the saddest/worst sea disaster in Kirbati History.

Aww...I just saw this video and as I listened through the song, I couldn't help myself but crying all the way through the end :( RIP beautiful Etita. What a sad thing to happen to such a young and beautiful girl :( I don't know her but my heart goes to her family and my sincere condolences to all her family. Great song and sad one too :(

I listened to this song once and its makes me crying and crying, listen to all the words from the first start until the end, while lm listening I know that they go to Kiribati for holiday and see all their family,and in July the 20/2012 that's the worst day,month ,year for Etita Mum and Dad,Sisters and all their family,hope this song make you feel better, when you concentrate listening you feel like you hurt as well. This is a song about a young lady named Etita (Esther) who lost her life in a ferry accident back in the year 2009. She was one of the passengers who were onboard and found dead several days later. This song was composed and sung by this famous singer (who was believed to be her relative from the island of Maiana) to express how everyone in the family, mother, father and her high school friends in the USA, felt towards her.
