The marksman variant of this gun is amazing and has become one of my favourites, I am consistently getting a K/D of 2-3 while playing the objective. With some skill you'll win nearly every 1v1 engagement close to medium-long range, and as mentioned you have to be more aware of your surroundings and approach. The frequent reloading actually teaches you a very important fundamental FPS skill that few people in BF1 do correctly; utilizing cover effectively and minimizing peek time. Sure with the other medic weapons you can get multiple kills in one mag and missing shots is more forgiving, but at the same time as you're standing there in a fairly static position laying down rounds you're also exposing yourself to enemy fire for a longer period of time, especially making it easy for enemy snipers to headshot you. With this gun you're forced to take cover to reload, and then re-peek perhaps even from another angle, which is actually a better strategy. If played correctly 1v2 at medium range isn't a problem, and in CQC or if you're being rushed you still have your sidearm, and as a medic the auto-revolver has a lower TTK in CQC than most primary weapons in this game.

This is a skill-cannon done right. Decent aim isn't all there is to it, and tap/burst firing requires no skill, which almost all we saw in previous games. What IS skill though is positioning. You can compensate for a low magazine capacity by smart use of cover, but you can never compensate for slow TTK, like the Selbstalter M1916.

Yousif Osama If you can't compensate for a lower ttk then you don't know about positioning. Positioning was always there in previous titles, in bf1 the cover is too sparse to always be able to control your engagement ranges and also how many enemies you expose yourself to at once.

btw, u can skip a half of reload animation. When ur soldier put the next clip into the gun, u can switch to ur pistol and backwards to skip animation. What i do not understand in both 1906 and 8.35(i both like them though), is that why DICE dont buff their reload time so they could be 1.5x faster at reloading than their counterparts like Mondragon, 1916, 1907, Cei-Rigotti.

I'm 9th in the world across all consoles with this gun. It's about choosing your engagements to where you're not forced to kill two people at once or die. Then when I inevitably get into those situations, the auto revolver has a faster damage per second than the automatico and if I'm too far to get the two hit kill with the revolver then I'm far enough to where I can make a run for cover, reaload/heal then pop out and pick off the next guy.

Those who like slugfests with shotguns should like this very much, as it has somewhat similar characteristics but works for longer ranges too, so for some it can be ideal weapon.

i think you hit the nail on the head with some of your comments about this weapon forcing some "good" behaviors. It IS a tough weapon to use (I have about 820 kills with it with accuracy around 43%) particularly if a target is moving laterally outside of about 20 yards and I have had a lot of frustrating moments with it. But because I can't really take on more than 1 target (maybe 2 by switching to sidearm), I have become much better at positioning/being nimble and overall being smarter. This has caused my stats with other weapons like SMGs to skyrocket. I think this gun is amazing in close quarters situations given how fast you can spam the trigger and the high damage. Again, not great if you come up on 3 enemies in close proximity but for 1 vs 1 engagements and giving you lots of engagement options, I highly recommend this gun

In the first clip you killed me and revived your boy after we took the sector. I was very confused to see this. Reviving defenders who should be retreating takes no tickets from the attackers and gives them an opportunity to get 3 tickets back (which we definitely will because your retreating in the open for like 200m in this case). Also, melee if your retreat is hopeless; I knew I was getting revived 100% after you killed me.

At first I hated the 8.35 Marksman but having used it a lot more, it's my go-to medic class weapon & it taught me to play the class much more effectively. Personally, I have a way of choking & missing shots when a group of 2-3 (or more) enemies round a corner in front of me, so engaging conservatively at mid-range, staying much more mindful of nearby cover, & learning to "hit & run" as opposed to full-on assault with a semi-auto rifle became a very useful tactic. I understand the superiority of the Mondragon or Selbstlader in certain scenarios but, in my experience, they made me much more sloppy with my aim & less focused on situational awareness. It's nice that DICE has a few guns in each class that encourage you to play that class differently, rather than switching up classes altogether for a different gameplay experience.

I can't begin to tell you how many 1v1s I've won against any other class because of this weapon. 2 headshots at long range and they go down making it quite effective against scouts as well. Yes, the automatico may outdamage it, but the self loading rifles aren't really meant for close range anyway. medium range is where it's at. If you have the aim and the other person isn't using an automatico you could still take your enemies down very easily. I always find myself running out of ammo quite fast with this gun because of how effective it is at taking people down.

There is a reason why nobody uses the .35 version of the Auto 8 or the piece of shit Luger 1906, they are horrible weapons just because their magazine cap is so low in contrast to their damage. The RSC 1917 is gonne be great however because its a two shot kill, with a 6rd magazine, Thats 3 kills per mag.

The Autoloading 8 is a great gun... the factory is one of the first medic guns I really used extensively because I own one of these in real life. It was pretty awesome, but yeah the 5 round limit was a drawback. Yet, many times I'd get 6 or 7 kills before dying with this gun. The Marksman variant is super accurate, but you're going to be better off with the Mondragon for the same task. The Extended after the last big patch is far better than the 1907 Sweeper. It had less side to side recoil from the get go, even less now. Honestly, it reminds me of the Selbstlader 1906. It's extremely accurate, low muzzle rise and side to side recoil, can spam it as fast as you can pull the trigger just about. Yet... you bash that gun and then come out and say "This one is ok". Nevermind that they are very similar but the 1906 has better damage at all distances. Neither gun is going to 2 shot kill short of people already being injured.

I do well with the weapon, it really comes down to positioning and play style. It's not for everyone, but if you're using it properly something like the automatico isn't going to be in the right range to be overly worrisome. Not overly sure that "such and such weapon is a beast at such and such range therefore this gun isn't worth it" makes much sense, if it did everyone would just be using the automatico.

aka Remington Model 8. Recoil negligible? Having shot one of these irl, I promise you this is a myth. The barrel is connected to the action and a large spring runs the length of it. To eject a spent cartridge, the entire barrel assembly recoils into the rifle, like field artillery... you feel ALL of it. If you didn't know any better, the bruises on your shoulder would suggest that you were firing a 12 gauge shotgun.

it's worth noting that most of your audience plays on console. Gun Balance is wildly different on console vs pc. people can't strafe back and forth as fast on console and aim assist makes it easier to stay in target once you're on target autoloading 8 drops you very fast on console.

What drew me into these warfare games was the fact the amount of shots to take down an opponent was significantly less than previous fps games. I don't want to my fps warfare games turning into Halo where I have to shoot tons of projectiles just to kill one guy. I feel like the Autoloading 8 deserves a lot more damage. For a semiautomatic rifle of that area it was very powerful and the .35 Remington cartridge was actually used as an elephant cartridge for a time. I understand the balance concept but 5 rounds and 3 hits to kill does not mix.
