Por un buen tiempo estuve buscando libros que ilustren la mecánica de los autómatas. Conocía Flights of Fancy y Le Monde des Automates, pero no me enteré sobre el libro de Juttemann. Buenísimo video y gracias por compartir!

Well I must say after watching this video my automata book collection improved about 400%. Largely due to the purchase of Secrets of Automata. Congratulations guys for puting together a book which will one day be a classic and is already a must have for any automata collection. I suppose one day books will have moving pictures on their pages...but until then this book will be the most informative and engrossing tribute to the magical world of living mechanical creatures. Fantastic...and thank you to you all at the House of Automata. Pity I live directly on the other side of the planet.

I’m so excited to track down some of these books! I also recommend Sublime Dreams of Living Machines by Minsoo Kang. It is a superb book that explores the historical sociopolitical influence of automata across Europe, throughout the Middle Ages. It focuses more on the sociology rather than the mechanics but it’s an awesome book!

I have to say that I have never really got on with books published by Universities and based on the text of a thesis. They invariably have an enticing but overly pretentious title but, once opened BEWARE, the texts can be a turgid read. There are several of them, the most impenetrable (for me) is 'Automata and Mimesis on the Stage of Theatre History' which happens to have the best cover ever, a naked Marie Antoinette Dulcimer Player.

do u recommend using the book 507 mechanical movements to try to make automata?
@thehouseofautomata7 ай бұрын
These books are fascinating, I think there are several like this, they can provide engineering solutions to specific movements but in practical terms its a bit more of a 'maybe/sometimes' than a 'must have'.
