Great vid! I recently upgraded to using Hubitat instead of Alexa for my automations which is both amazing and frustrating at the same time. I’d love to see a detailed vid on the process of integrating the fp2 that you mentioned. I’m using it now in a few Alexa routines but it’s very limited.

Ahhh this would be handy in the hallway and toilet for overnight pit-stops. I had a PIR sensor downlight in the toilet for a bit there but it would turn off again after 20 seconds, so you were left having to wave your way into seeing what was going on again. A sensor like this with some smarts about what lights turn on at what times of the night and at how bright would be super useful!

The pointers about avoiding marital strife are the most important parts of these videos. Wouldn't it be nice if they made this sensor mountable on a standard switch box? Hopefully coming soon because the current config makes no sense

Great Vid. Questions - At 7:06 you say the Pico is connected to your hub. Sorry if I missed this but which hub, the Lutron Caseta Smart Hub or the Hubitat Elevation Hub? And do you need both or just one if you're only gonna use wall switch control? Lastly, can any single wall switch or remote control 3 controllers (for 3 zones) separately from the same remote or does this require app control? Thanks in advance, I know that a lot!

Thank you! I didn't show a screen shot of the button rules, but whenever one of the buttons is pressed it has an action that disables the motion rules in the kitchen until the next mode change. thanks for asking.

well i use home assistant and i make my own motion sensors (LD2410C) with LUX/Light sensors (BH1750) built into one device. Now it doesn't have zone firmware like the FP2 does but i can make mine for around $11.00 USD and the aqara FP2 cost $83.00 USD on amazon. So i'll stick with mine as i can make almost 8 of them for the price of one fp2.

How did you pair the pico remote to the LED lights

The pico remote is paired to the smart bridge pro, which is connected to the Hubitat Elevation, as are the LED lights.

How does it compare with Phillips spacesense as it uses changes in RF field to detect presence and remains passive.

I tried Wiz's spacesense (owned by philips) and it was a complete disaster. Didn't really work at all. Probably depends a lot on the type of home and network you have.

Remember that IF you need fall detection, or height (is it a dog, kid or adult in the room?) it does need to be mounted to the ceiling.

I have 3 of them and cannot recommend. If 9 out of 10, the presence is not detected , that means 2 a day or night you end up being frustrated. It does not work reliable, especially with kids and in a house where multiple people actually live.

You didn't set up them well Mine works really ok althout I spent a lot of time tinkering with it

@@AndrewDee I disagree. I tinkering with them for 3 month now, in dozens of rooms with dozens of positions and resets. "really ok" is not what I need, the devices has so many issues. i need the reliability of motion detectors, not less. put 5 kids in a room of 5mx10m with 2 stairways and the zoning will not work correctly. I also tried putting 3 FP2 in this space, not working 100% of the time. and the ghosts are even more annoying (that is known, the app even has a trashcan-function for ghosts).
