Z1, I've been automating gases on Atrox! You'll need a storage, regardless! The machines can't place anything anywhere, without storage! The containers can't receive straight from the machines! Believe me, I tested it! Hope this helps! Even a medium storage can be used in your setup, but you must have a storage!!!

i know i am three months late, but you can connect a soil centrifuge making ammonium that connects to a chem lab on the right with a atmospheric condenser above the chem lab, and a storage to the right that has the hydrazine, and then connect the hydrazine to a chem lab making graphene with a soil centrifuge at the top, then connect another chem lab at the right of the second chem lab and make it to make titanium alloy and put a storage deal of argon above it and put a chem lab to the right with storage deal of steel and or iron connected to an auto smelter and another auto smelter with organic

You are making this FAR more complicated than it needs to be. I set mine up with only 5 auto arms. The hydrazine and Graphene labs on one platform (one feeds the other), and the other three on another platform (two feed the 3rd) so all you need to auto-arm transfer is the base materials. Also, you cannot use resource canister for Graphene because it only inputs or outputs, not both at once. Auto arms *can* input and take directly to the labs, so you dont really need a landing spot for transferred materials.

to me, the biggest problem with the canisters is how "in/out" the system is, they need a middle therm, something like, only output if its pulled by a machine.

Astroneer has become a "gathering resources" game. Some sort of destruction is possible ? So we can rebuild and so on . Or some dificuly levels, or some competition with .. aliens.

Hey Z, been watching for a while and play aton ofastroneer. Keep up the good work.A reccomendation for your nano carbon factory. For my steel production I set up a system the auto produces organic using soil and the centrifuge. If you use a storage sensor set to empty only, you can have it auto trigger to make organic so it only makes 8 organic at a time. A medium soil canister will last you a long while. If you are up that and some auto harvester this becomes a breeze.

Z you should use the xl hoop sensor to trigger auto arms to pick up the gas from your ship from different planets when you land back at your base.

Make a base on Desolo. It is a good place for soil cenrefuges. use 3 soil centrefuges and a large rover with an rtg and soil canisters. Its a great way to get baisic resources, such as graphite.

I found the Large T-Platform worked very well with my set-up. I kept the auto arms on medium platform A’s and the gas and the resource canisters would auto load into the chem station.

An idea for seperating un-smelt-able s..you can add a storage sensor with empty or not empty to the silo on where the smelter puts the smelted items which when activates when there are no more items to smelt

I found out that you only need iron and the soil centrifuge to get nano carbon You can graphite from soil centrifuge Ammonium from soil centrifuge Titinite from glacio

WTH is "sulfralite"? There is no such thing in this game! Slow your brain down for half a second and actually read the word Sphalerite. You can figure out you're not saying it correctly simply from the last syllable: "rite: vs "lite". Try this: pronounce this word: "Sphinx". The first sound of that word is the same as Sphalerite. So we take away the "inx", add back "al", then add "uh", and end with "rite". sphinx - inx + al + uh + rite = sphalerite Now you try it.

I found that the T-platforms were easier to use in my nanocarboninator. Their shape made placing them where the auto arms can only deposit into the chemistry station
