Sadly the power system could really use some love from TFP. The power signals are just really not great to use because you can't extend them in any way. (enlighten me if I'm just incapable of using them correctly) If you for example try to open a draw bridge inside and outside with a motion sensor, even if the second sensors sees you before the first loses sight of you, the draw bridge will still close and open again right away once the first sensor losses sight of you... Would be great if they were to add "and" / "or" blocks which you can use to control Signals. As Minecraft has taught us you can already make a lot of stuff with this.

I think the pressure-plate behaves the way you wanted the tripwire to behave. Also... when you finally do the stun baton challenge, you'll be pure-intellect... and you can make bases like this without god-mode.

Big fan of this base style. PSA a great POI to build this on is the Krispy Kitchen remnant. Not only is the basement prefab concrete, it has a flaming pipe in it that you can use as the very base of that blender tower!

In like Alpha 18 or 19 Josh did build an infinite screamer base, I believe. But it requires capturing them in an infinite loop, then killing them once they've screamed 3 times, and sorting new screamers out and putting them in the trap. I believe this is when/where he learned as well as the rest of us, that screamers don't produce infinite zombies.

I notice that it's really easy to leave a couple gates open and then hang out near a closed gate and wandering hordes will pile up on the inside of the fence, unable to damage it.

The only down side is no good way to repair the blade traps except falling through them over and over hoping you hit them. Need an auto closing door system along the ladder that open when power is off so you can reach through and repair

You could destroy the blocks separating the ladder tunnel facing the trap tunnel, use the same trim block Sammy punches through and use the existing ladder to climb down to repair/replace damaged traps after the zombie smoothie is done.

This is almost exactly the same as my last horde base! I built mine on a big intersection in the wasteland and needed the pit to seal itself when it wasn't in use so my server mates wouldn't fall in while they were driving about! I love that you not only found the save interaction, but managed to improve it in the process! (I wasn't using Sammy)

We don't really have waste disposal units in the UK either, there's not really any laws though. Not sure about Australia. Instead we have strainers on our sink drain pipes which get blocked up (and are smaller) and then you have to pull the crap out and put it in the bin. Stops people throwing wet wipes down there, which don't get shredded and form "Fatbergs".

If you build the blender escape ladder into a 1 block notch in the side of the blender tunnel, you'll be able to climb up and down the ladder to repair the blade traps after horde night, and during horde night, any zombie that perfectly hits that hole to miss the blade traps will probably bounce off a zombie climbing up and send them both back into the traps. I'd also be curious to see if the fatter/larger zombies would stick out from the ladder far enough to be hit by the blade traps in the back as they climb up.

Garbage disposals aren't blades. There's a couple of loosely connected dull steel pieces that basically whiz around and beat the shit out of anything you put down there. So, if you stuck your hand down there, it would definitely hurt but it would be a horror-movie type thing with a blood fountain.

Needs a generator setup so you have and can easily swap between your gas or solar generators (lets you keep it charging at all times without using all your fuel). You can also put in more battery banks underground next to the wire relays (probably even get gas generators setup for the new battery banks below), and it would allow you to run more blades at a time, but it might be overkill.

You gave me a knew idea I wanna try zombie pinball I wonder if sledgie can beat zombies in falling animation could make some funny stuff happen. Another idea combine it with electric fences you could have a series of platforms to heavily slow them down sledgie at the top pushes them in the shoot they land on a shelf with a electric fence to stun another sledgie pushes them down a floor with another electrified shelf etc till they get to bed rock. Have a access ladder to get back up with the walls lined with fences and dart traps making them take damage on the way up all activated by trip wire or motion sensors.

In alpha 21 I built a version of your blander base and used a garage door as a lid I love how u did they same thing in ur new version 😅 although in my version I made it a 2 player base where I had 2 shoots of blenders 😂 and a wedge narrow gap at the top imstead of sledgie were they fall in to try to get my friend. And at the bottom is a room with electric fences and turrets to kill them and I collect the bags XD I call it the zombie tetris base I also made easy to repai by making the shoot with scaffolding ladders and a service area around the shoot

Just use another battery bank. Unlike everything else about this base it’s not unrealistic to have 2 battery banks (you can only wire one solar panel bank per battery bank so I’ll usually have two battery banks in a live play through very late game).

"garbage" is also the best way to describe traps in 7d2d. You don't get all the xp even though you made it, they don't kill the zombies very well, and they break far too fast. Anything other than using lots of bullets is not really supported by the game.

I'm sorry, I love blade traps far more than most 7D2D players and I use them religiously in my horde bases, but they make for piss poor AFK designs. While they don't set of demos any more since a couple Alphas ago, their main weakness are now cops, especially radiated ones, which the blade traps don't damage fast enough to kill before the cops have a heart attack and blow up. That is going to take out the bottom blade traps pretty quickly in a late game horde. And I think cop explosions can then set off demos, which will make even more damage to the bottom of the pit. Not to mention Sammy the Sledge can set off demos all on his own in this design. So this makes for a really cool base for the lulz, but it's not going to work in a real game.

Blade trap bases are always a recipe for delightful insanity. You could have 2 modes: switch for on, or switch that goes to the tripwire for "away" mode. Also you could run a tripwire that opens the hatch if you wanted to keep it.

So, while this base would be incredibly expensive (aside from the blade traps, of course) if you made it out of concrete, really the only parts you'd have to worry about are the bottom of the ramp, the ladder, and the window frame. Everything else could be cobble, and I think you'd be fine. Definitely would take awhile to dig & build, though.

We ever gonna get a Wasteland mod playthrough? You played fallout 4, it'll make sense now. I dont believe its been updated for 1.0 yet but its so modified last alpha vs 1.0 isnt a big deal. Its still crazy to me that you guys DONT have garbage disposals in your sinks globally. I dont know how people get along without them. They are generally terrifying things, you arent tempted to put your hand down in there. Our kitchen dishwashers feed their wastewater through the sink garbage disposal too, interestingly. You should get one for you home, probably 200-300aud, last 5-10 years. The midgrade tier can generally break things like popcorn kernals or nutshells even. Last point, even if you stick your hand down in there and touch the blade, its not razor sharp, they are more like blunt blades that smash.
