Will those wheels fit any of the Oregon grinders ? If not do they make them for their other grinders ?

Is there any reason you couldn't use an ac/dc adapter to power the tecomec instead of using a battery?

I tried to use a 12v battery charger and it didn't work. The Oregon has an ac/dc converter on the stand in the back. I believe it must have something to do with having enough amps to run it. The battery charger was only running at about 5 amps.

About how much do you charge per chain?

Used to charge $10 under 20 inch, $12 over, then $14.50 - 28+ inch chain. Not sharpening at this time, need better ventilation.

So I take it the grinder removed material from the tip of the depth gauge. Any concerns about the profile on the depth gauge after grinding? Thanks.

The Oregon 3 in 1 just grinds the tips flat to whatever depth you set. On the Tecomec I dress the wheel at a slight angle before grinding the depth gauges. Don't know if it's critical, but our customers seem to like the results. The most difficult thing I find with doing the depth gauges is setting the wheel perfectly to take the same amount off the inside and outside. If the wheel was perpendicular to the middle of the chain, it would be better, instead of the pivot point being closer to the inside cutter. Regardless the Tecomec is still a great tool for this.
