That's what I was thinking! My mom used to braid my hair in small braids all over my head when I was little and I would sleep all night night like that and then wake up in the morning and take them out, and curly wavy hair!

I remember there being a Pocahontas version of one of those when I was kid. That’s what they remind me of. I was cracking up when your threw out the “I’m carrying your child line”. I’ve been waiting for that! Lol. As someone who has 2 kids I know those sarcastic lines all too well!
@missharleyxx46844 жыл бұрын
the second braid tool brings back some memories. I had something very similar when i was growing up. my friends and i always used it during our sleep overs. the few main problems we had with it was our hair would always slip out of the clips (like yours also did) and with the thread wrap it was tricky to do. also when you finally get a nice tight wrap with the thread you had to cut the thread and you couldn't reuse it once you took it out. it was a fun product as a kid though.
@thinkingbout4 жыл бұрын
I just thought, when you used the black one and had the problem with the right side, *what if you just use it upside down on that side? Shouldn't it then be twisted in the right direction?* So if that work the product would not be really userfriendly but at least usefull for good braids on both sides of your head. 😊🤔

Ya, the makers of these misuse the word braid because most people do not recognize the word to describe what they are really doing, which is called plying. "A Plymaker" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it. Each strand of hair is called a "ply" and the amount of strands denotes what it is called, two-ply, three-ply, and so forth.

Hi, just wondered if you have tried the magnetic eyelashes, but not the ones with magnetic eyeliner, but the two separate lashes, that go over and under your own lashes and are then magnetised together? I am just curious is these actually work.. I have just tried the lash fibre mascara and I really don't like it as its quite thick and doesn't separate the lashes like it claims, so thought maybe the magnetic lashes might be good or the lashify ones.. let me know if you have and I will search for the video. Thank you and really enjoy your hair videos. x
@alisarose14072 жыл бұрын
I have. I do not like them bc the magnets are already thick enough but when snapped together are double the thickness amd imo pretty obvious. I do like magnetic liner tho. Still like a glue for a windy day.

I use to do the one with ribbon in my hair all the time when I was younger! Especially in the summer, you have to do it much slower, the yarn wraps around the hair and you can use a bead at the end to hold the ribbon in place. It’s like a permanent accessory until you cut it out! My seven year old self loved them! You can also do a pattern with different colored string!

I would think the one would work on your opposite side. In the video it looked like when the individual strands were being twisted they were twisting towards your face and that is why the braid itself went away from your face. I could be wrong but just wanted to state what I saw. Hope it works. 😊👍🏼
@BerlinerinToni3 жыл бұрын
That's the way these twists work, electronic gadgets or none. The two individual smaller twists go in one direction, and the second twist goes in the opposite direction. That's what keeps them from coming undone when you're finished. If you twist them all in the same direction, it will untwist itself MUCH more easily, perhaps even all by itself. As several others have mentioned, if she had just done it holding the tool upside down, and twisted it from above, on one side (for example, on her left-hand side with the black tool) it should work to twist it in the opposite/desired direction, away from her face. It's unfortunate that they didn't figure that out, as it's leaving viewers with the impression that the tool doesn't fully work. 😊
@ladyamber27664 жыл бұрын
Would it go in the opposite direction if you held it upside down?
@ninny2163 жыл бұрын
I’m confused. Why not just use the first product the other way around, so it twists away from the face? That way it can rotate left or right, depending on which way it’s turned around

Hello and congratulations on your baby bump! I have a question completely unrelated to braids! I’ve been concentrating on my skin for so long I’ve totally neglected my hair. I need basics and your channel is the only hair channel I watch! 1st, Can you please give me a recommendation for a good basic everyday shampoo and conditioner that will not break the bank?! My hair is not super thin but seems like it’s getting thinner. If I do nothing with it out of the shower it’s awful! It dries super flat with these strange waves... not cute waves... Thank you!!

It's been 4 years so I don't know if you've tried doing this with the first tool, the hair twister, but have you tried flipping the twister upside down? i.e. You are demonstrating it with the tool head up, like this arrow. Pretend the arrow head is the tool head: ⬆ For the left side of your hair, in order to have the hair twisted going towards the back, have you tried using the tool with the tool head down, like this ⬇ ? When twisting the left side of your hair if you flip the tool head to point down before inserting the hair into the tool should twist the hair towards the back. I'm curious if you've tried that to see if that would work. Conversely, flipping the tool head down while doing the right side of your head should twist the hair forward.

You could just do the last twist part yourself to get it to go the direction you want. The twists underneath would always be the same though.
