21:55 that sound is the indicator for a backstab or critical hit. The enemies are spawning on top of the fire while they are in an inactive state (they dont see a target to attack) so they are taking backstab damage. Saw a guide that I decided to go with after the SelfDamage nerf to Campfires/Bonfires/Hearths, although it is an absolute pain in the ass of waiting to set up: 2-star tamed wolves. Dig a pit below the spawner, fill with the 2Star wolves, put down workbenches strategically hidden to make sure loot doesn't despawn, throw in a stack or two of raw meat, go AFK. Every 30 min or so, block the top with roofs (you just need a small central column uncovered either way) to stop spawning and gather the loot, aswell as letting the wolves heal and produce more wolves if any died, repeat. Sourounded it with 2 sets of Terrain Walls aswell, first 1, then a moot down to water level (my spawner was pretty low down) then another wall. Prevents the wolves from aggroing anything outside, and makes the farm secure from everything except for Frost Drake event.

My method for teleporting metals. Create a second world. We'll call this the storage world. Build a storage shack. Nothing fancy. Login to main world. Go adventure gather your ores. When you're inventory is full log out of the main world and log into the storage world. Deposit your items. And go back to the main world. Everyone probably knows about this now. But you could also put X number of two star wolfs in a hole under the spawner, and they will kill the Greydwarfs. And throw some meat in there so the wolfs can heal. Now that you can ride lox, you could probably also ride a few of them down in the hole to.
@dacash81952 жыл бұрын
I had thought of wolves, but I love the lox idea.
@360lootgoon3 Жыл бұрын
This is actually the best way for the greydwarf farm now. Using the hearth/brazier method requires very frequent and constant repairing, as the devs now made it so that whenever a fire source deals damage, it also takes damage. Just stand on your bonfire or hearth for a couple seconds and see how much health it loses. It’s quite rapid, meaning even a quick trip to the bathroom could result in the farm breaking. I prefer wolves over lox, as lox are massive and risk hitting the greydwarf spawner, plus wolves are just easier to transport and to set up a secondary breeder near the farm for reinforcements, if needed.

yeah what is "other map" (take to other map) and what is "main map", "storage map" and do you need to exit the game and open it again? :)

teleporting iron(or any ores). 1- have the ore in your inventory 2- go into another world, and put the ore in a chest 3- go back to your world, and go thru the portal 4- go back to the other world and take the ore out of the chest 5- go back into your world

Okay in terms of teleporting Iron. The devs have said its unlikely they will allow it (there was an interview recently). What you can do (I'm assuming you know but others might not) put it in your inventory, create another seed. Go to that seed put it in a chest. Go back to your first game and go to the location you want to deposit the iron. Go back to the new game, pick up the iron, then go back to your first game. Long winded, yes. But it does work if you find sailing takes too long.

the reason is pretty simple, they want to force multiplayer, and punish single play. they know alot of people enjoy playing those games solo, so they dont want to "disallow" SP, but that's basically it. if not, they could just add a "custom server ruleset" like many other games, another proof of that is how small ship inventory actually is, meaning, you would need ALOT of travels to bring multiple metals around if you do play solo.

i think the arrow hit sounding sound is actually stuff being critically hit, should hear it when greydwarfs get fire, or skeles get hit with blunt stuff

that's only for zone spawning (normal random spawns 40-80m around the player), not these spawners that have separate rules.

In response to 4:34. You can cheese the game by stacking your inventory full of iron, logging out of your main world and log into a secondary world with a small base and a chest. Log into your main world again, step through your teleporter log into your secondary world. Grab the iron from the chest and go back once more to your main world. And tada, you've made cheese

you should get some 1 or 2 star wolves and place them in a 2x2 square under the spawner, build stone walls around it and you are set. just dont forget to feed the wolves now and then.

To teleport Iron 1. Create a new world, call it Transport World 2. Put a chest in the Transport World. 3. Put Iron in inventory 4. Transfer character to Transport World 5. Place Iron in chest in Transport World 6. Transfer character back to Main World 7. Run through teleporter 8. Transfer to Transport World 9. Pick up iron 10. Transfer to Main World. you have just teleported iron.

4:25 If you dont want to go the long way transporting iron, simply do a second server, and you use it as storage. Log out with iron, put it in that server, cross the portal, log into that server and log back into the main server. Magic.

Maybe you could use wood iron beams in the middle. You can place stone, foundations, campfires and all kind of stuff on top of them.

there are stone structures that form the outline of a boat. you can dig on those and there are chests and treasure.

Dig out around the stones that look to be in the shape of a ship hull (kinda american football shaped) to find hidden treasure, I'm with you on the circular stone placement, never found anything under those.

You can port ore/ingots with a separate seed. Log out with it, log into your other seed, toss it in a storage box. Log back out and into the main seed, go to where you want the ore/ingots ported to, log back into the other seed you dumped the stuff in and snag it, log back into the original seed. Ez transport.

If you want the trick to fast traveling your Iron and such. The trick is to use a temp world. put your iron on you, load into the temp world, put it in a chest. Go back to your real world, go through a portal, log back into your temp world, grab your iron and then go back into your real world., if you don't mind doing that sort of thing ;)

I'm fairly new to Valheim (played a fair bit by myself, and only recently started looking into videos, and seeing what other people are creating). This is an interesting concept. The last time I destroyed a Greydwarf Spawner, I did wonder if there was anything I could do with it instead of destroying it. If I was making this myself, I'd have the Portal opposite the storage, and make some stairs that go up where the Portal was, and onto the top of the storage (to get in and out).

When it is in the shape of a boat with stones, dig it as I found a chest, bones of the owners, and other treasure. Where there is signs of man, there might be treasure to dig up.

I think that sound 22:20 means critical hit (cus it isn't agroed when it hits the fire, it crits), that's why the brute earlier didnt take a lot of damage, you agroed it before it hit the fire

the sound you thought was smth spawning is actually the monsters getting a critical hit when they start touching the fire.
