Resin can be extracted from the brakentree seeds plus extra silk. Also the FU discord is very active, i recommend getting on it if you need help or ideas.

My intention is to keep growing the bracken I have in the field for silk and resin, but replace the bracken in the growing trays with something that doesn't have a secondary harvest.

Randomise User frankly its not a bad thing to do that also, you can always place harvesting turrets and grabbers if you feel lazy and wanna automate it too, looking forward to see what happens.

Unless they changed it, the growing trays don't give resin or silk (one or the other), anyway they give you one or the other, which is why people grow them the ol' fashioned way ;) planting them!!!

You want to try cross breeding with more drones :). Also I sometimes just warp to ship and back, which will reset bee spawning from apiaries.

Got some of that pencilled in for ep 7 - I know can already do red bees, but anything else will need me to visit more planets, and i've had little success so far!

What is the point of "food storage" chest you can build? Because i put food in it n it went bad...

The thing is though, if your going to have separate chests for each machine, why not just put the stuff in the machines themselves? I wish there was some way to tell the request system to actually send something to a machine to process it if you don't have any of it, like Logistics Pipes in Minecraft, but if there is, I don't know of it sadly.

I agree, it's not ideal. I might end up connecting the drop chest direct to the machines tbh, and set up extra ITD filters if there's say a particular liquid I don't automatically want centrifuging. I think as time goes on I'll see what special cases arise. (I've already done it with seeds, though I can't remember if that was shown in this ep)

most FU powered equipment is actually set up for the network. Adding support to your own devices isn't terribly difficult either. ask for me (Khe) on FU's discord if you want info on that. Perfectly valid to have containers in between, given a lot of machines have a range of outputs. Makes it easier for sorting.
