Hey Shaun! Thanks so much for the review and critique, I think you pretty much nailed the strengths and weaknesses of the game in its current state. :) We're working on it! Cheers!

Really great game! I got over 50 hours in one week of playing without having much time! I’ve been playing it every day for over a few hours so it's extremely addictive. My only problem is, that when I play a fixture it doesn't really work smoothly. Turning the camera, is in I think around 30FPS but as soon as I want to place and move or scale a fixture, it completely lags (the moving and scaling and placing. Not my framerate, it's always around 30FPS)

As an Automation player with 500+ hours of gameplay, I must say that it's pretty fun to do competitions between players! Everyone makes the car by rules we make in Automation, and then race them in BeamNG!

how do you meet or find other players to compete? sounds like a lot of fun

I've found the car designer sandbox and exporting is by far enough reason alone to enjoy this game for the price. I've barely even touched career. Many advancements have been made since I started, making interiors and other details now a lot easier to make (3D modes of editing, hiding the body, etc.). A lot of this can for sure be tweaked though to make life easier since it's still finicky, and you have to be careful with your edits. I've also found the vehicle dynamics, statistics, outputs, etc. to be very accurate. Most of the time I'm doing the hard research to find specs and dimensions of real cars, inputting those into the game, and with a little tweaking you'll be getting the same power figures, handling characteristics, etc. and then you can feel everything just the same in BeamNG. If/once they figure all the quirks out, it is still "early access" after all, I can easily see this in conjunction with BeamNG to be in my personal list for top games of all time. P.S. A lot of updates and improvements are in the pipeline for 2023, to include Superchargers and new gearboxes!

In the car editor I notice you made 2 mistakes, In sandbox you have to manually select the year in the top left corner, and for the interior you can select 3D mode in the bar just above were you select fixture, makes interiors much much easier

There is one of two things going on here. Either that chair is really big or this guy is really small. It’s a mystery we may never know 🤔

This is a good DLC for Beam NG.

I was one of the people, who bought Automation solely for the sandbox mode and I already have 5k+ hours on my play count in this game in terms of the amount of cars I've designed. There's just nowhere to share my art pieces, mainly because the dumbasses from their "social" media banned me from all their platforms only because they hate me for having my own opinions. Life sucks sometimes.

The cars behave as if they are controlled by a game pad. Is there wheel compatibility?
@Sol-Apollo Жыл бұрын
BeamNG itself does have wheel compatibility, Automation only focuses on the design aspect.
