Hi, Jerry here, 20 years into machining but not this stuff, yes a lot of stuffing. Tell me but some are using these for spindles but can or do they utilize A/C motors for drive and positioning for the X & Y. If so can you speak (just touch) to the accuracy and speed of this. One more question is about hydraulics I have never looked into so this is a blind question. Here goes: Could hydraulics be made to control all axis movements in minute machining specs. Maybe also coupled with a laser positioning feedback system, of course the laser system encapsulated? I just was thinking if the X and Y servo motors and ball screw and all the controllers involved along with a ball screw could be done away with by laser controlled hydraulic system. One hydraulic motor could power all three, split with control valving? But looking into briefly the hydraulic spindles available only go to 7500 rpm with would mean extreme cost and adaption to a transmission. So I'll just leave this question to X & Y. Okay, but still using an automatic tool changer A/C spindle motor of course or 6 hamsters and a feeder and wheel.. Ut oh, another question: I seen a spindle motor that had a coolant system running through it. Could not this cooling system be use internally to cool it put valving to expel it to the outside for the tooling. Internal & external cooling. ( probably already done ) that's ENOUGH! I'm done scouts honor. Never been one so it holds no coolant. Hope this question wasn't too-pid. Reminds me, a joke: How do you top a tar? Tep on the bwake toopid! Dang it, ya gotta have machines to build them. Thank- You and God Bless.

Hi Jerry, That's a lot to cover in a KZbin comment, so I would encourage you to contact out free tech support during regular business hours to discuss. Here are all the ways you can contact them: support.automationdirect.com/ In the meantime, some quick answers: 1. A/C Servo Accuracy - They are CRAZY accurate. The encoder resolution is 16777216 pulses per revolution! 2. Hydraulics: I suppose, but it would be REAL slow and difficult to get the accuracy of a servo. 3. Cooling: Sure you could use the same coolant in multiple places.

what is inside hybrid stepper step servo motors?
@automationdirect Жыл бұрын
Anna, I am not sure what you mean by a hybrid stepper step servo motor. AutomationDirect.com sells stepper motors and servo motors, but the internal motor technology is very different. We don't sell a hybrid model.
