I really like the honest way you have of conveying how much you are enjoying the game in real time while driving, that's not very common. The truth is that I think very similar to you, the improvement is brutal and I hope this sim gets to where it deserves now that we can have in LFM a competitive system in conditions. Keep up the great vids Rev! ... i have just dived back into AMS2 after the 1.6 release ... and i was a little dissapointed only to keep tweaking settings to get the right feel/look to the game , and now im really enjoying/appreciating the work gone into the release. I found with the FFB for me personally was to bump the damping setting up around 50 percent gives the cars 'weight' just subbed ... like your attitude ! ... The Audi Quattro around Donington Park very good fun.

@@ReverendSimRacing Yes, I mean your camera background ;-) We're both out of our twenties, I think, but a little more chic wouldn't hurt your stream. I'm from Germany. I drive with an SFX-100 system. And AMS2 provides a lot of information about the car and the track, in contrast to ACC and some other simulations. With AMS2, the motion system really comes to life.

From a better Version PC2 boat simulator after the Update its a Real simulator with cars have weight and FFB that makes u feel the road... Just a different game Amazing what an update can do.

I'm one of the lucky few that is now having lots of problems with AMS2. Getting the Lambo GT3 hang at max revs which requires an control+alt+delete to get out of it. Freezing in menus. In game teleporting and just general crashes all requiring an control+alt+delete to exit the crash. On the positive side i'm loving the new tracks and Lambos.

Is there any improvement with the ai ? Also … have you tried a larger grid ? I’ve heard 1.6 has introduced some tracks that can have up to a 48 car grid.

Tried the corvette Z06 GT3 around Daytona and it was unfortunately quite floatly, uncomfortably so...quite disappointing to be honest, the GTE version and the other GT3's don't feel as floaty. Would be nice to hear what others are experiencing....

please write what is the difference in gt3 cars? Do they slide sideways? I've been testing for 3h and I have very mixed feelings.... it's probably better, but when I turn on another sim it seems to me that in ams2 gt3 cars still slide sideways and slide

Was betting that you'd be all smiles from ear to ear upon the 1.6 release. I won that bet, now send me 5 bux. Yes, it does feel, look and sound that much better. For some reason it took about 6 hours for the update to complete so I didn't have the chance to try it much but man, does it ever feel nice. Small request for your inevitable additional videos (here looking forward to them) - would you mind not adding the useless mechanical voice of Crew Chief? Here hoping to listen to the different engine sounds and it kept being interrupted by the robot voice. I understand that some people find comfort in having that gimmick on during a race, but since you're previewing the update then there's no place for that robot talking about the air temperature and what a great job you're doing when the sound of the engine would be so much more useful. PS: do you ever race the autocross cars? Bet they sound even better now (something I haven't had the chance to try, as I spent all day staring at the never ending update)

I love AMS2 and only play with AI. Before the release of 1.6 I had only one dream, to: “they didn't mess up anything” and of course they f🤬🤬🤬g messed up. - Optimization, from stable 60fps I now have 29-35 and strange framerates. - AI is not even a shadow of itself, boring and dumb. “AI Mistakes” is a weak joke. I set x5 and in 30min I see one situation how ai leaves the track. No fight, everyone drives like a string, gt3 cars on the straight pull pathetically behind gt5. - “Tyre wire” doesn't exist anymore, on x5 I spin spins 5min and didn't even go to 50%. Mock. How can you not test it? - “Bugs”, I set one, load another, want to turn on the map in the HUD, this one does not work. No lap records. etc. Earlier I bought almost all the DLC, I enjoy the new cars and tracks, because they are great, the driving model and FFB is fabulous. The sounds are even better. Unfortunately if Reiza doesn't fix what they broke, I'm done with Ams2 and will go back to RF2 or look for something new.

Don! Sorry to hear you are having issues mate. I have to say that personally I have had zero hit to my performance, maybe try a fresh clean install of the game? I know the update process broke a few things for a few people. I know my Tyre wear has been as it should be and my AI round Oulton was very racey so something is not right for sure. I read the reddit and forums so if I hear of any fixes or anyone having the same issues I will let you know matey!

It's very different. I used to drive the v10 cars and they were such a pain it felt like driving on ice and now they respond much better.

I remessed with the legacy feture and the Gforces and yes =) w.e they did with the shaderds, holly crap its good. I'm on a CSl DD 8nm and I set the main ffb gain to 50 and matched all the cars gain to 50 or so. I dropped off the FX from 6 to zero since its a DD and now i get zero wobbles on light grip and just the regular slight legt and right when i completely letgot of the wheel. As for the physics, I wasnt bothered by the previous one. I thought it was a massive upgrade from the one before it, that one made no sense to me at all. This 1.6 is definitely easier to drive, I'm seeing a post where ppl still complain 😂 A. Their FFB is all jacked up or B. They simply dont understand how to manipulate the virtual car with the real world equipment. All in all a great update, and I truly hope we can get some racing done because I still yet see any issues with multiplayer. I know they said they've worked on it but honestly I never had a disconnect and ive raced with across the pond youtubers with their communities. Great experiences honestly. I just think a lot of ppl want to play by themselves because they cant stand being over taken. When in 😢 it means is that they truly dont understand the sport. Great video !
