He is super delicate going into the curves because the car packs alot of punch and not enough traction, plus it's a rare car and it's not worth wrecking it now.

A complete monster! Though slow in the curves, it just outdoes everything that moves in the straights. Interestingly the only car that outdid this monster in the video was the 935 K3 and it was never to be seen again. Only a Porsche can outdo a Porsche! Love Porsches to death!
@joaoa13portugal6 жыл бұрын
The K3 could outrun a 935/78 (mobydick)? I thought the mobydick was the fastest of the 935 series on straights because of having that really aerodynamic profile. Also because, if i am correct, the mobydick was designed purely for Le Mans, all the way down to details such as the driver sitting on the right side of the car because La Sarthe was mostly right hand corners/bends at the time (and i think still is). What am i missing? Or is the K3 simply more powerful?
@kyongslist6 жыл бұрын
WTF are you talking about? since when is any 911 "slow" in the corners? says who? Just because the car is longer than normal and has tremendous power, does NOT mean its anything but poised through the bends... You dont win Le Mans by being slow, anywhere..... you win it by being almost perfect, ESPECIALLY when your a GT car. Secondly, how did the K3 "outdo" the 935/78? There was only a single Moby Dick built and it only raced at Le Mans once, in 1978 and finished 8th due to technical issues and was retired afterwards. The K3 ran in 1979, and like all typical race teams, was updated and then redesignated as a new model, the K4. So no, they didnt even directly compete against each other. and it was seen plenty afterwards and still is to this day, one of the single most recognizable Porsches ever. Get a clue

@@auz17 its pretty normal for Porsche, Audi and co to tune down their priceless cars. I dont think that it runs the 900 horse quali trim, while the K3s are more abundant and can be run harder with less respect for the engine. Ah and an example: watch the Video with Ken Block with the Audi Group B Monster - they tell him, that its tuned down to preserve the engine - pretty common practice in crazy turbo comp cars
