I am 80 years old, I flat tracked on the west coast of the USA in 1970's...favorite bike was a 500cc triumph. It changed my life, I remain delighted to this day, 50 years later. I live off shore now in a tiny Mayan village south of the US border with 3 beautiful women who take good care of me as I prepare to haul arse into the great beyond. Somehow i think the start line at full throttle stays with you as you walk into a room ...a non ordinary man living in a non ordinary reality as Carlos C put it... willingly facing death as you slide sideways into a turn... You either do it and do it hard or face ruthless consequences. Hats off in humility to those on the Isle of Mann, and road race tracks and class A nitro methane burning speedway riders especially. These are transcendent experiences, full throttle experiences, non timid experiences, brought to earth.... not only change the man but change the vibe and that changes the universe.

Ever since way back when Harley whined and cried and complained until the AMA forced Honda to run restrictors so they could not win against Harley....ever since that AND the HUGE tarrif I had to pay on SPORTBIKE (that Harley did not even make) ever since those two things I HATE Harley with a passion and just LOVE seeing ANY other manufacturer beat them at the only racing they haveany success with

Twin cylinder under 900ccs is what are used...surprised many of these even exist being they do not fit criteria to race or are way underpowered. Someone should use the old 500cc yamaha twin cylinder two stroke and build a flat tracker kt would flyyyy! Lol

It was a tx500 i believe stock 55hp but with modern technology it could easily ne 110 hp

Erroneous title for this video....Flat Trackers are RACING motorcycles...."tracker" street bikes are NOT racers they only vaguely resemble flat track bikes should be titled "10 Tracker style motorcycles and a couple of real track bikes

To say flat trackers still look like bikes of the twenties ? Really ? That first bike is an XG750R licensed by harley built by vance & hinds exclusively in the racing capital of the world Indianapolis at the vance & hines world headquarters ...what looks like a 1920's hard tail to you is what us hoosier hillbillies call a mono shock suspension . Ever heard of one ,? I doubt it!! And to say flat track racing is not as popular as it used to be ? There is three class instead of one.
