instead of the fully electric power pack, the Rimac Nevera R could do with a compact all aluminium (small block) 3.2 Biturbo I6 engine as a last mile range extender . . . mated to a 9-speed auto torque converter transmission & a lightweight composite 43 litre fuel tank . . . meaning less number of batteries & hence a significantly lighter car . . . without compromising on performance too much . . .

@4kreviewinfo nope not at all, fuel has weight but it's not a fixed weight like batteries & electric motors . . . you forget to consider one crucial aspect, that the weight of fuel in a car is continuously diminishing as you drive . . . therefore the volume of fuel in the tank lessens with every half a mile or so as you drive along . . . the weight of fuel in a car makes up for 26% - 34% of the car's laden weight whereas the weight of automotive lithium ion batteries in EVs makes up for 46% - 58% of an EV's laden weight . . .

@@4kreviewinfo Hi... No, I keep everything stock from Bowling Green...I also have a C7 and bought and sold others... The Resale Value is far better leaving Vette's stock. Mods can be bad in so many ways on a Vette. My C8 is an LT1 the lowest trim cos' I don't need all the gadgets. Same motor as the LT2 and LT3 only moving up in power at the Z trims.
