You don’t make sense at all, you say in this video to not replace fan and ended up being the resister and you have other vid showing how to replace, go to other video and you say at the end of it finally that you need to replace the whole fan setup to change resister, what the hell, why wouldn’t you just say it here, wasted time watching

I have a sonic 14, didn't need to remove fan for this thank goodness. The 2 wires you see in video connected to resistor was on the outside! For my car was 2 screws for reserve tank and 1 screw holding fan plug!

Can u help I have same car same problem I think
@TebowTime25132 жыл бұрын
@@cobe1mllc yea no problem. The fan sounded like it was running high/louder, but would over heat. When I unplugged the resistor I seen it was burnt out on the inside. I couldn't find just the resistor so I went to the junk yard and got one. Im not a mechanic , I do like to practice on junk cars lol. It worked for a couple months but got burnt out again, so I got the whole fan.

fan resistors for the cruze are available online... if the fan is not working first check the main fuse under the hood... bad resistor will blow that 60amp fuse

It would be helpful if you explained WHY someone would have to change this part and what the symptoms were with the car that led up to replacing this part. Thank you for your videos they are helpful. But, the diagnosis of the problem is what we need as well. thanks

If your fan is on all the time, never turns on, or only turns on high when your engine is nearly overheated.

I believe the two small pins in the center of the plug are low speed (A/C condenser) The outer larger pins are high speed (radiator).

Car Chevy Cruze MY2012 2.0 163KM. I have a damaged resistor fan heatsink. 1st fan speed (air conditioning) does not work. Can I remove the resistor without removing the fan? How to do it ?

I replaced my fan resistor and decided to test it before placing things back together, the fan resistor glows red and the ceramic coating start to smoke, Is this normal? or should the resistor only be operated inside the airstream?

Hey, nice video, as always. I have the 2013 Cruse 1.8 ....The fan kicks on. Check engine light says I need a relay....replaced that but still runs HOT...No heat from the inside heater. I replaced Thermostat with a Duralast one...didn't help. From what I've read from others, I need the AC Delco instead. I have that. Just curious if there's anything else I should look into. I haven't replaced the whole AC Delco Thermostat + housing unit yet ( cold out, and working) ...just curious if anyone else ran into this

Hey guys so I checked out your guys's other videos. All my fuses and relays are good but my fan still doesn't turn on. Is this pretty much an indication to switch out the fan?
@adanarvizu58914 жыл бұрын
Most likely you need to replace the cooling fan assembly. The cooling fan motor has an open circuit internally, it is a multi speed fan and both legs are inoperative. there is a low speed and a high speed circuit going to the fan from the resistor , the engine computer will turn on the speed it needs depending on temperature an or ac operation. this is the primary issue the car has, the fan takes care of the overheating at slow vehicle speeds and or sitting still and of course would allow the air conditioning to function at slow speeds as well. Let me know if replacing the cooling fan assembly solved your problem.

You lied you dont show were everything is. One you unplug the resistor connector on the fan you never show what the other side of that wire with 2 other plugs go into. There is a small green on that plugs into the tube on the left hand side and another small purple one that I've actually unplugged and now cant located where it plugs back into. If your going to say your going to show everything then show everything. I've searched the entire internet and cant find out where this plug plugs up to.
