HOW TO REPLACE CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET ON A CAR. CIGARETTE LIGHTER NOT WORKING
In this video we will explain how to replace cigarette lighter socket or how to remove cigarette lighter socket on a car. In most cases you can simply remove cigarette lighter socket without much disassembly but in other cases you may need to access the cigarette lighter socket from behind. Cigarette lighter socket will often quit working if it has been used regularly. If your cigarette lighter socket does not work check the fuse first because it is more likely to have a bad fuse than to need to replace the cigarette lighter socket on your car. It takes only a few minutes to be able to remove and replace cigarette lighter socket on most cars. Hopefully the video will help you remove and replace your cigarette lighter socket.

Why would you reuse the old one? Would you take it out and clean it up. I know my experiences with the cigarette lighter it's normally the fuse but if it's not the fuse then I don't see how you could reuse the old one cuz that would mean the old one is really messed up. I guess a bunch of dirt could have gotten down in there obstructing connection idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ I know if I take the time to take it out I'm just going to buy a new one lol

Sometimes there is corrosion buildup that can be scraped clean , which wil allow it to be re-used.

Shows you how to change it. Otherwise its the relay or fuse. Look in your hand book or keep looking onling for your make/models location. Very rare chance its none of those you need to replace the wires, just follow them and replace.
