Good work, really like the results. You can use ethanol (also known as denatured alcohol) to remove the BMW soft touch coating. It will dissolve the coating which can then be wiped off.

Denatured alcohol is ethanol that has had poisonous and bad tasting chemicals added to it so it cannot be consumed by humans. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denatured_alcohol

You call also get the Color Bond Clear Adhesion Promotor to use as an undercoat before laying down the color...

I would of used paint stripper because the plastic had a leather like texture and by sanding the paint you’re sanding the plastic therefore the texture is less noticeable and more like a smooth finish.

hi, you mentioned another video which might help with determining which color for a BMW -- in my year, there are 2 beige colors (BZ and SN) and a Terracota (which it probably is not -- but don't know). I can't find the other video - the one you referenced in this video (at about 6min 6 seconds), where we can find the exact color... can you please reply here with that video's url? THANKS!!!

Its all in the sanding , take your time , use 70 percent rubbing alcohol to clean as your last step before spraying. Buy a can of adhesive promoter and spray a thin layer then the color of your choice . (The red you wanted ) when your done leave in direct sunlight till sunset , in morning put the parts on .be gente try not to scratch and in a week paint will fully cure .i do a different process but this is kind of rushed , looks nice but waiting doing slower coats will be more affective you"ll see .i have lots of skills to just so busy to make videos but i will make more.

Clever way to remove that rubber/plastic paint is to use car perfume that comes in a bottle...put it on the brush,and apply it over the area you want to remove it from,and let it sit overnight....it works like magic.
