Thanks for the video. Is there a way for the car the "relearn" without your Snapon tool? I have a basic code reader and got both these codes after my car just stopped while driving and would not stay on afterwards. No check engine light at all.

Do you have to relearn the new vvt soleniod? I did an oil change and installed new vvt soleniod exhaust side, and I cleared the codes with cheap code reader, then took for a test drive and check engine light came back on.

First thing to do is check the oil and type and then check the sensor

I'm having the same situation however, my camshaft sensors both A and B are throwing off and both intake and exhaust vvt solenoids are over advanced, I went ahead and changed the parts but the codes still read it the same. I've taken it to the dealership and after 4 hours, they didn't find anything wrong with it. It's gotten to the part where I'm having rough transition when I'm accelerating and there's a delay. At this point I'm losing my mind trying to pin point what the hell is going on and after talking to the dealership they said it probably internal and they recommend me bringing it in another time. What do you suggest I do? The codes are P0014, P0011, P0017

Same problem,code p0017 put new exhaust VVT solenoid it ran a lot better but code keeps popping up... I've changed the oil twice there isn't anything on the screens on the VVT...

I got the same codes on my dad’s Elantra. went to the dealer and they said vvt solenoids are ok. They said he needs to change timing chain, tensioner and guides. It burns oil every 3000km (1800 miles) the oil level is below the min level in the dipstick. Fuel efficiency is low and it burns a lot of fuel than normal. Should we follow the dealer?

I just had the same issue and I just got a oil change but to give a run down I started my car it drove and then completely turned off power was on tho now I can't get it to start

I have a 2020 Volster with identical problem. I how do I relearn? I have done battery reset but code comes back after i drive it. Do I need a scan tool to relearn?

@@key0nkolors930 you should be able to hook a scanner to and do a relearn that way, also make sure you’re definitely full of oil that does make a difference.

@@AutoRepairTips757 I guess I will take to auto shop. All I have is a Bluedriver. It won't let me remove the code p0017. Same readout as yours. I've tested both cam and CVVT sensors and crank sensor. All are good so it must need the relearn. Disconnect battery and it goes away but when I restart car CEL comes back on . No misfire, car idles perfect.

My car died while driving and is throwing the P0017 code. Every video I've seen is it trying to start but running rough, but mine won't start at all. Could this still be the cause or could there be something else wrong?

I changed my oil every 5000 miles or less. Engine still blew up at49540 miles
