Sebastian Vettel - International Racing Driver of the Year - AUTOSPORT Awards 2013

Sebastian Vettel has been named International Racing Driver of the Year for the fourth consecutive year at the AUTOSPORT Awards in association with Mercedes Benz.
Vettel broke all manner of records in an emphatic 2013 campaign, becoming the youngest ever quadruple Formula 1 world champion and the first driver in history to win nine straight races in one season.
Vettel collected his Award from Sir Stirling Moss.

He deserves this award. Could've achieved it without the "multi 21" though. As an Aussie fan it would have been the decent thing to do. & those saying its the car not driver aren't really considering all aspects of f1. If Jimmy had won it would ppl say its all Hendricks bla bla. Sebs (not my fave driver) Q3 in India was flawless. Every other pp lap had a slight blemish where tenths were lost. Thx 4 video upload. Great to watch

Well... i've kind of never been close to be a Vettel fan, but honestly... i liked what he said here... and yes, even not liking to admit it, Vettel is a great driver. Yes, the car helps, but as many people said, so did every WC in current F1 days... Just to be clear, i'm fan of Alonso xD

It's Vettel.. Pronounced: Fettel. Not Wettel or Vettel... Fettel... Spelled Vettel. How hard can it be?!

For you as a native German, it may be a lot easier to pronounce his name correctly. Can you pronounce English words correctly like for instance: "squirrel" or "the" without saying "zuh" or "duh"? Be tolerant

I'm not a native german, I'm dane. If you know, that v in german is pronounced like an f, it is not a problem to pronounce it as a native englishspeaker. You have the word fox with the same noice. But the germans do not have a sound simillar to the noice(s) in squirrel. Therefore, you cannot say that it is the same. It is not about pronounciation, it is about knowing the sounds in other languages. And because he is so famous, I don't understand why english people do not learn to say his name correctly. And germans can learn to say squirrel with some practise :D

But who is going to do that and what for? Let them say "Fettel". Why does it bother you? When a foreigner says "zuh" instead of "the", we don't judge them due to their pronunciation.

In the words of James Hunt. "What's the point of having a millions cups,medals and plane without having fun?.And how is that winning?" The car that he drove for the past 4 years should be winning this award not the driver and there wasn't any fun the past seasons while the driver gets all the glory winning.Vettel's real challenge is this year no more excuses.
