Why RB have Dropped Ricciardo for Lawson with Immediate Effect

For better or worse, it's now confirmed - RB have dropped Daniel Ricciardo and confirmed Liam Lawson takes over with immediate effect, for the United States Grand Prix for the rest of the season. exactly. people forget that he lost his mojo when he left Redbull because they didn't give him the status he deserved back then. Max indirectly killed him. Horner finished the job by giving his trust to Max. after that, he was not the same. he's a driver that needs to be desired to perform. if he's not, nothing will happen.

This is Daniel's doing, couldn't beat Yuki, wouldn't even be racing this year if it wasn't for RB, but I wish they could have given him one more race in Austin, his favorite race with a proper send-off.

Ricciardo had his spell of success when Vettel sulked because of the then new hybrid rules and Ricciardo - against expectations - beat him soundly. Other than that, as far as the racing goes Ricciardo has generally just made up the numbers. He did get a lucky win with McLaren, but even they paid him NOT to drive for them in their final season together! And remember his time in a still very competitive Red Bull ended because he ran scared of Verstappen. Nobody pushed him, he didn't want to be compared to Max so he jumped. Ricciardo has a lovely smile which will continue to make him wealthy. People who watch Netflix tell me he has a great personality, but a competitive F1 racer he's not, and hasn't been for a long time. I watch Formula 1 for the racing, he adds nothing to it and we should not be sad if he loses his drive. There are plenty more exciting drivers currently on the grid with many competitive cars, F1 is enjoying a purple patch. We should all be celebrating not commiserating the loss of a driver past his sell-by date.

As a team Red Bull are the worst managed in the paddock. No other team has managed there second drivers so consistently poorly and thoroughly deserve to be where they are. I hope they don't mess Lawson about as the have Ricciardo etc

TO: every one crying about how red bull handled this.. why is ANYONE surprised? As a huge DR fan, I wanted more than ANYTHING to see him climb back to the top WITH Mclaren and really show what he could do. DR had his chances and fell short of his dreams and aspirations and those of MILLIONS of fans who had the same hopes and dreams for him. Life isn't fair, SUCKS some times doesnt it. But he'll walk away with what $75 - $80 million or more in the bank? and have the oppty to race almost anything outside of F1 he wants to where he can find MUCH more competitive machinery and real chances to fkin WIN again... Racing is about Winning. Now he can go some where he is properly appreciated and can bring some energy/sponsorship and talent to a team in a series where he can win again. Maybe he'll even decide to come out of the closet finally and then he can REALLY be his true self be happy AND WIN again...;-) I for one wish him the best in what ever he does wherever he does it. and At LEAST Mclaren has come good!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!! JAYsus!! ... its been a while.
