Huge help as I just replaced my tire at a local shop. 41.25 for both tires and I removed and installed them..with the help of your video as the rear tire was being a bit rebellious!

So much easier to remove than to re-install! LOL! Always the case! Love how "clean and accessible" everything is on this bike. Dude! Somebody needs a head mount or chest mount for the camera! Kudos for doing this with one hand!

Ive been putting some of my winter maintenance stuff off waiting on this stupid head mount thing i ordered forever ago, I really want to film with 2 hands haha!

Like you, I was sure you would ave been able to walk that chain off, but looks like Yamaha decided that the axle has to come off. I’m like you, I use lubricant, blue loctite and anti-seize grease when ever I take thing apart. Nice vid bro.
@AUTOT3KHCL6 жыл бұрын
+vac0002 It would definitely make it a little easier being able to put the wheel up and in, then pop the chain on! Thats good to hear Im not the only one thats OCD on the bike maintenance and properly lubing everything haha!

great video very helpful, I like how careful you are with the bike.

Aren't you supposed to line up the lightest part of the tire (red dot) with the valve stem?
@coastacademy-officialclubc3215 Жыл бұрын
If you took the axel bolt out without moving the chain adjuster nuts. Would that save work at the end? Or would not ne able to remove the chain?
@AUTOT3KHCL Жыл бұрын
Yes you can do that. Just double check the chain at the end

I love when customers just bring the wheel and tire instead of the whole bike ill usually just punch it out real quick where as drop the whole bike and it will sit in line waiting to come in great vlog
@AUTOT3KHCL6 жыл бұрын
+ace f thats almost like an incentive for them to bring the loose wheel if it ends up getting done a lot quicker!

You should always wash your hands before you take a piss man, even when you've been wearing your gloves. It's just common courtesy for the next person.

The Yamaha manual says 10-15 mm of chain slack (-.5"). Everyone I've spoke to, and posts on the FJ Forum say that is way to tight. The accepted norm is 25-30mm.
@AUTOT3KHCL6 жыл бұрын
You are correct, that does seem pretty tight
@sl1oo5 жыл бұрын
yep...fz09(mt09) owner and the manual has it too tight...25-30mm is where it should be
@coastacademy-officialclubc3215 Жыл бұрын
I did mine around 30. When you get suspension travel at 10 you could damage the chain
@michaelkeyte30035 ай бұрын
You also put too much loading on the drive shaft bearing, and besides I can't think of any other bike where the slack is 10-15mm

Hey brother, what tire do you have on the back of that? I just wore out my Diablo five in seven months. I need something a little more hardware that looks like the ticket.

This was the pirelli Mt60. Burned out around 6500km. That bike is years gone now. I run a dunlop trailmax mission rear on my Tiger 900 and get about 25k km on it
