I programmed the little diamond shaped button to turn off even the small standard screen. If you drive fast regularly any of that stuff is just pure distraction. Nobody ever enjoyed their touch screen whilst lapping the n.ring at 9 or 10 10ths. For me the car can have the tech but it must be able to be turned off easily and quickly and leave no distraction.

Man, the S65 is probably the best V8 to have - the experience is just insane, and the sound it throws out is just, aaaaaahhhh. I loved these when I was a kid when they came out, still dreaming of a day to drive one, hopefully. The owner is living the dream :) You captured this perfectly, and what the M cars are all about - the experience.

@@looped7979 I think they are fundamentally different engines with different philosophies. I love an OG 6.3 AMG sound, but there is just something about the S65 that tingles the ear. Might I also add that the M156 is not that "unique" as it was put in everything called AMG in those early 2000.

Mercs were straight line monster vs e92 m3 being a track monster. Both cars don't hold a candle to anything new now in both settings. Driving either cars nowadays is mainly for good feel and sound similar to why people drive an e30 M3 now

@@ralfsz95 honestly it's not even a bad thing for this engine to have been put everywhere. It makes it more affordable and less exclusive/expensive to run. Also it gave us some fun combos : ML63, R63 and so on

Did you ever get a GPS top speed for a standard e92 v8 m3? I always had mine with the bmw speed limiter at 163mph so never got to see quite what it would do. If anyone was to know I thought it might be your guys. Thanks :).
