Honestly, I'm quite sad about how Audi discontinued the R8 line. These cars have always been so fun to drive and look so good while doing it. I'm glad you got to review the send-off!

But the EU (and especially germans) is at fault, people vote left and they got a humongeous inflation as a result and further restrictions in everyday life, like manufacturers being forced to discontinue cars further increasing development costs of newer ones. Germany got their new man at power on december 2021, since then the Euro tanked 10% and inflation is at its highest point since 70 years. There are other senseless decisions, like shutting off every nuclear power plant to then proceed to buy electricity from france that produces it with NPP.

R8 is the most successful base in GT race series in last 15 years. So yeah, it is legendary car alredy.

I bought a Suzuka grey R8 V10 Performance Quattro one year ago. 620 PS, fully specced with the same recaros from the video. 2020 model with 21.000 km. Directly from Audi Hamburg for 145k €. Drove 20.000 km on it in one year. Sold it yesterday for 138k €. Best 7k ever spent :)

12:03 - Looks like there may have been a calculation mistake with the tachometer. When the car shifts into the 7th gear, the digital needle moves too quickly to 7500 RPMs and then slows down.

On a Belgium Podcast about F1, they had a factory GT driver from Audi, he is job less because Audi pulled out of GT racing, but the COE/management who did this (he was an electric car believer), is fired. Don't know the philosophy of the new one, but there is hope for Audi GT

When go in 7. gear rpm go so fast until 7.500rpm, then rapid slow down but km/h goes the same, from end of 6. To end of 7. Love it a lot!!! A LOT! Just so strange
