This would appear to be the sweet spot in the range, at least for me anyway. Looks like the gearshifts are now very fast and clean, especially compared to the 7Gtronic on my old Merc. And it looks like the body control through fast bends is very good too. Great video, guys! Thanks for making it.

Sounds like the tincan M4. AMG died in 2011. I remember how distinct that growl was. You'd feel the ground vibrating beneath your feet, then the silverware at your brunch table would start to shake uncontrollably. That ferocious growl from 2 streets away would get louder and louder until you couldn't hear your own voice anymore. You look out and see a 63 AMG fly by. Those days are over. Now I cant tell if my neighbour is mowing his lawn or cold-revving his new Mercedes through the internal exhaust speakers.

The CL500 would be enough to pull away since he didn’t really try to catch the CL so we don’t know who’s faster. Also the CL might just have a higher top speed and thus still accelerate while the E53 way almost maxed out at that point.

Because he lives in Europe, where everything is speed-limited. The speedometer goes beyond the limit because you can get the limiter removed with AMG's driver package - which you have to pay for.

I absolutely HATE the interior of the Mercedes e class! There’s so much shit going on EVERYWHERE! You look to your left there’s 20 things on the fucking DOOR look down you see a huge center console that is largely useless and the dashboard area is damn near 3 FEET LONG IN SCREENS! In the S class it works so damn well cause it FEELS like a executive cruiser especially with the ambient lighting but with this E coupe it just feels extremely over done and yacht-like in my two door AMG coupe smh. IMO they should take notes from Land Rover, Porsche, and bmw on how to include large digital screens,luxuriousness, AND driver oriented interior presentations
