The Toyota Hyryder S Hybrid is India's most affordable Petrol-electric hybrid car.
Claimed efficiency is at 27.9 kmpl for the strong hybrid version.
The engine is Toyota's TNGA hybrid 1.5L 3cyl petrol unit mated to an electric motor. The combined maximum power output is around 115PS. The Hybrid variants are available only with the E-CVT automatic gearbox with EV mode along with Power and Eco modes.

Bought Hyryder V hybrid. Great suspension, solid feel and fuel on long drives around 20-22 km/litre. Good extras..on road price 25Lacs...but cheaper than Honda city hybrid, slightly costlier than Suzuki...in this medium range SUV. Good after sske service with Toyota.

My honest opinion. Spending 5 lacs extra only for hybrid just to get better mileage is not a good decision. Assuming a minimum interest of Rs. 5000 per month with which you can fill 50 litres additional petrol. Do you think it is a wise decision?

@@rishikausshik00 That’s true. It’s seriously under-promoted by Honda themselves. But in terms of drivability is brilliant! 0-100 in under 10s, suspension setup and dynamics better than City Petrol. Has rear discs too. It’s a great product with performance close to 1.5 TSI while still offering efficiency figures of 20 kmpl +. Wish Honda did marketing justice to this wonderful car.
