Autumn in New England (Music by Vivaldi)

Summer is over and the autumn season is upon us. I wanted to make a seasonal video to bookend a similar post I made back in the spring, so here it is. In particular, I wanted to make a video composed of images from my native New England. I am a lifelong New Englander, and I must say that there is no better place to be in the fall. The music I used here is the first "Autumn" movement from Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons". This particular version was performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra as conducted by Seiji Ozawa, and features Joseph Silverstein on violin.
None of the photos used in this video are mine. Rather they were gleaned from various internet web sites. To the best of my knowledge, these photos are in the public domain and/or their use for this purpose is covered by the Fair Use Act. This video was not made for commercial use or for profit, and no copyright infringement is intended.

I have been all over the US (46 states, minus Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington) and the New England states were my favorite destinations, by far. My grandmother is from Maine. I'm from California, but I now live in North Carolina, and I look forward to going back to New England to visit. I saw fall colors in Western NC in the Blue Ridge mountains for the first time about 6 years ago, as central NC where I live doesn't get the vibrant fall colors that the western part of the state does. However, I hear that the New England fall colors are even more vibrant than those in the mountains in western NC. I've only ever been to the New England states in the summer time, which was nice in of itself to a desert raised guy like me, who is used to summer getting to 120+. One of the biggest things that made me move back to the east coast is that we get 4 seasons here.

Thanks, Julane. I was in Halifax back in July, but I have never seen the Maritimes in the fall. I am sure it's quite beautiful there as well around this time. I am using CyberLink Power Director 11 to make all my videos these days. I agree the Vivaldi piece works well here. Best to you - Dave
