autumn walk - Hölzerne Hand - Landshuter Haus - Bayerischer Wald

Von Oberfrohnreuth zur Hölzernen Hand - durch das Hochmoor zum Landhuter Haus - eine kleine Herbstwanderung so ca. 5 km durch den Bayerischen Wald.
Diese Ruhe, die man in der Natur des Bayerischen Waldes erleben kann, findet man heute nur noch selten in unserer schnelllebigen Welt.
In der Nähe von Deggendorf in Niederbayern, dem "Tor zum Bayerischen Wald" kann man in knapp 1.000 Metern Höhe versteckt im dichten Hochwald des Deggendorfer Ortsteils Greising am Kreuzungspunkt mehrerer Wanderwege, eine "Hölzerne Hand" entdecken.
Ihr Ursprung beruht auf einer Sage: Der Wald hoch über der Stadt war einst schwer durchdringlich. Und so kam es, dass sich ein Mann in dieser Gegend verirrte. Als der Abend hereinbrach, schwor er sich, er wolle jedes Jahr eine Wallfahrt antreten, wenn er nur wieder aus dem Wald herausfände. Da trat ein altes Weib aus dem Gebüsch hervor und wies in eine Richtung.
Zum Dank befestigte der Mann, so sagt es die Legende, eine hölzerne Hand an dieser Stelle. Bis heute kann man diese dort besichtigen und sich auf die Spuren dieser mystischen, sagenhaften Begegnung begeben.
From Oberfrohnreuth to the Hölzerne Hand - through the raised moor to the Landhuter Haus - a short autumn hike of about 5 km through the Bavarian Forest.
The peace and quiet that you can experience in the nature of the Bavarian Forest is rarely found today in our fast-paced world.
Near Deggendorf in Lower Bavaria, the "Gateway to the Bavarian Forest", you can discover a "Wooden Hand" at an altitude of almost 1,000 meters, hidden in the dense high forest of the Deggendorf district of Greising, at the intersection of several hiking trails.
Its origin is based on a legend: the forest high above the city was once difficult to penetrate. And so it happened that a man got lost in this area. As evening fell, he vowed that he would go on a pilgrimage every year if he could only find his way out of the forest again. Then an old woman emerged from the bushes and pointed in a direction.
Legend has it that the man attached a wooden hand to this spot as a thank you. You can still visit them there today and follow in the footsteps of this mystical, legendary encounter.
