I'd 100% say the sales of bundles of kids clothes is why charity shops are getting less kids clothing but all of us need to donate as well as shop! Avoiding fast fashion is so important in our environmental state and I've found 20+ babygrows for my friends baby for £5. Our local charity shop is 5 baby items for £1. It's amazing.

I don't have kids but i LOVE kids clothes :D My niece went through a stage where she was acting like a teen at about 7 she would say "I don't want to wear that its not cool" Right diva! With the jumper maybe you could try washing inside out and hopefully it might save the sequins.

I second this! Used to work in a linens store where sequined cushion covers were sold. Recommend washing inside-out and hang to dry.

I love that you spoke about various ways to buy clothe second hand / how Darcy could still wear a few things from last year/summer etc. showing that you don't need to go out and buy entirely new wardrobes every month or even every season. Harder with kids though as obviously they're always growing! I appreciate it though, as we're definitely in a world that's all about massive hauls all the time (which I love for inspiration, sure). So thank you for including that bit at the beginning :)

I love Darcy’s boots, they are certainly my style. Now I have to look in Zara to see if they have them in grown up sizes!! I used to dress my daughter in cable knit polos and plaid or tweed mini skirts all the time. It’s the cutest outfit for little girls😍

Louise depop is actually brill once you know what your looking for! It's all about how you search for it i.e girl Zara 1 year , girl dress 1-2 years ... Break it down by words and it searches people's adds by how people have described the item. You have to know what item you are looking for but once you get the hang of it it's great and you'll likely end up finding wee shops etc that you can buy bundles for . When I had my first girl I ordered her a whole wardrobe from newborn - 1 year old with only 80 quid x

My oldest daughter is now nearly 23 yrs and my other is 11yrs, the first one let me buy clothes for her untill she was about 15-16 yrs... happy days! My other won't let me choose ANYTHING for her at all!!! In fact I could do anything with my first and my 2nd is just so independent and strong willed it's like they're polar opposites! I used to get a lot of stuff on eBay for my eldest but everyone's doing that now and I just can't get as many bargains, and the children's clothes in the charity shops are practically non-exsistent! I really adored the jewel coloured pinafores! And your black sparkly headband looks really pretty on you!

I agree about the charity shop kids rails. I'm a charity shop fan for myself and amazing home treasures but the kids 'section' never has anything and is limited to a tiny rail. Carboot sales are great for smaller stuff, easier to sell in bulk and costs alot less than posting out on eBay. X

I agree charity shopping is really hard for children's clothes, the chances of finding what you need in the right size, especially if you're taking little ones in with you is very slim! I have 4 children, and have bought all their autumn clothes (except underwear) second hand, via eBay. I can then browse to my hearts content, and get some beautiful pieces at a great price!

I use it mostly for benefit minis etc that people have got in gift sets or Birchbox etc and sell individually at a small cost. But I have noticed children’s clothing pop up on my page xxx

Fall is here in Toronto as well.....seems like I have been waiting for such a long time, like you it is my favourite season.........I loved the shopping Louise, the girls will look adorable......I always wash anything with sequins inside out by hand.....I know it’s more work but them you can be as gentle as you need to be....then just throw it in the dryer for awhile......see you next week.........Donna in Toronto

I work in a charity shop called headway (it supports people after brain injury) when we get kids clothes a lot of the time they have food stains or they’re very worn in. So it’s rare we get clothes that are decent enough to sell. The clothes that don’t sell, a lot of the time They get passed on to other companies that make good use out of them. Also we don’t sell pj’s unless they look or are brand new. Hope this helps 🙂

My son is 28 but from babyhood till he was 12 I did most of his shopping at consignment stores. Lots of selections and very decent prices and in very good condition. Depop is great when you have specific things you want to look for, for example I saw a blue v-necked jumper in Primark the other day so instead of buying a brand new one I went on depop instead and saw LOADS of them that I loved. It’s not really an app that you can just browse through in my experience, but it’s really nice for vintage items, small independent sellers & businesses and I’ve had a good experience with the app and all the sellers so far :)
