I would say it’s also okay to be a bit hungry. Most people when feeling hungry, are not literally starving. You don’t have to feel full all day. Also, sometimes that hunger feeling might actually be thirst. Or it might fade after several minutes.

Yeah, I always forget that it's normal to feel hungry before a meal. Then again, if you're feeling hungry all the time, you probably need to up your protein and fiber content. Your diet won't be sustainable in the longterm if you're always feeling hungry.

I started working on my diet just recently. I had a sweet tooth all my life and after 25, with the stresses of adult life, never having been an active person, it started to really catch up to me. Cutting out added sugar, sweets and other processed snacks in general was easily the hardest part. The initial cravings were WILD, way worse than quitting cigarettes even. It's been smooth sailing ever since those cravings have finally subsided and now I'm enjoying my new diet journey quite a bit. I've always been intimidated by changing my diet, but it's actually a lot of fun finding new foodstuffs I like and experimenting with ingredients I've never tried before.

I just think of processed foods and junk foods as “poison”, which they are! I’m a pesca-vegetarian so I do eat fish, but no foods breaded, fried, made with hydrogenated veg oil (Crisco, margarine), corn syrup or high-fructose corn syrup, no artificial colors or flavors, no bleached white flour (chlorine, yuck!) or added sugars. So if we’re suppose to eat 1 gram of protein per pound of desired body weight-say 150 lbs, that’s 150 grams of protein divided by 3 meals( you say snacks aren’t necessary if we’re eating enough protein at our meals). 50 grams of protein for breakfast, lunch and dinner is a lot. And what your body doesn’t use, the excess could be stored as fat. Kidney function is effected by a too high of a Protein diet as Ive had that issue more than once. No one ever discusses the effects of too much but it is something aware of.

It’s only hard on the kidneys if you have other kidney problems. Lots of information online about that misnomer. Also, one gram per pound isn’t really “high”. I cook at home, I don’t drink alcohol and I’m back to my regular 6 days a week rowing and walking for cardio. But I just don’t see me giving up my daily monstrous coffee habit to which I add an embarrassing amount of powdered creamer. I don’t add sugar - I don’t eat sweets. Except when I wake up to my slow drip coffee with exorbitant powdered coffee creamer. So a) just how awful is powdered creamer b) are there any good options to replace coffee. And no- I have tried every single healthier alternative to my powdered creamer. It all just tastes like Splenda or fake or not good. It won’t work for me. When I take the plunge and learn to suffer without it I’d rather have nothing but my shake. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly welcomed! 🙏🏻✌🏻

There’s tons of contradictions going around about weight loss and nutrition. It’s quite frustrating for us regular people. Could you do a video talking about what happens if a person is in to much of a calorie deficit for too long and how to work through those plateaus. Specifically my wife would have a higher protein/fat breakfast and not be hungry the rest of the day only having 400-500 calories. Her body started storing fat more rapidly. Also, weight loss may be the wrong focus since fat weighs less than muscle, what nutrition better supports fat loss?

That is very scarily low.

The channel April Whitney has talked about improving metabolism for women who have had very low calorie intake for a long time. The videos might be under petite weight loss or something like that.

My only issue is that collagen is not a smooth broth, it gelatinous.

??So when you say u.p. food, does that mean protein powder/drink too?

UP carbs and fats specifically are found to have addictive qualities. Although a lot of protein powders or ready to drink options have added sugars that can make it problematic. That’s why I use 100% monk fruit extract instead for a natural zero sugar option.

Do you think Legendary brand protein pop tarts are a healthy product?

Ultra processed foods come out of a box or wrapper. Regardless that it has “healthy” ingredients, it is manufactured in a factory making it ultra processed.

Too processed.

You say “body recomposition” a lot? What do you mean by that?
@KorahWatson7 ай бұрын
She says recomposition. It means you are gaining muscle or at least keeping muscle mass stable at the same time as losong body fat.
