I think another good idea is to limit the bags you have. When I had a lot of bags I found that there were bags I didn't use. I have purged my bags and now have about 10 and find that I use them more. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

I know others have already commented on this, but wow, the natural lighting and more casual 'air' to this video did make it seem more personal somehow, like you're sitting right across from me :) I have some bags I never carry as well, though still feel too attached to them to give them up yet. I consider them part of my 'collection,' which means I can keep them, even if it's just to look at and admire them every once in a while!

I try to change my bag as if it was clothing. I like to match my bags daily to my outfit. I prepare my clothing and bag for work the night before. If I wasn't particular about matching my bags to my outfits I would never change them and they would all be a waste of money. Sometimes I choose the bag for the next day and then match the outfit to the bag. It's the only way I'll get use out of them. I do have a few that I never carry also. I need to just bite the bullet and take them out:)

Hey there... I attach very comfy colorful guitar straps to the buckles on my vintage Coach bags. It livens them up and makes it fun to mix and match. I got 2 really nice guitar-style straps from Marc Jacobs or you can get cheaper ones on Amazon. Try that before you sell ones you love ❤️

I do that too. Mine are from Amazon. One is Gucci-like and the other has a Louis Vuitton multi pochette vibe - it has a d ring to attach something. I’m currently using the latter on my Janice. And attaching the coachxbasquiat round coin purse to the strap. I’m not really a shoulder bag person and most bags that are considered crossbody doesn’t have a long enough strap for me - I’m a little fluffy. Because of that I always look for bags that have removable straps or that I’m okay with removing the straps and converting it without major surgery. So I usually wouldn’t go for a bag that has the straps sewn in.

I agree about the grey. I have a Kate spade Greta with glitter at the bottom. I guess it's kind of a taupe color. I used to carry it a lot back when it was the fanciest thing I had. But that color just doesn't draw me to carry it.

I forget what I have. I don't have a spare room to make a display case or bookcase so they are all in my closet in their dust bags. I forget what I have and wind up carrying my three favorites. I liked when you said, "not just a decoration in my room" lol. If I ever said that to my husband, he'd throw them out the window...well maybe not, but you know what I mean.

I’ve owned a few grey bags, beautiful bags and never reached for them, I think I just prefer other colours when I have a choice. Personally, I love a fancier more structured bag with a casual outfit. Keep what you love, sometimes it’s nice to have things that remind us of certain times and places and the feelings we had when it was purchased. You have a great collection!

I think it's nice that you are making these available to your viewers. I cut my bag collection to the bone this year, letting go of about seventeen and keeping only six. I did this when I noticed that I seem to stick primarily to one bag per month. I wonder why I do that?

I had a habit of carrying “in case stuff happens” items and now only the necessities in a mini bag. Regarding Vintage coach straps. I just purchased a Willis. I payed $155 NZ for it. The strap is 2 long for my height 5,2. I’ve decided to take it to the leather repair shop to have the strap shortened. I was reluctant as I didn’t want to alter a vintage piece, however it has to be comfortable for me to use.

I love this type of video…it seems so relaxed. I think as women we get pleasure or an adrenaline rush in “acquiring” all of these bags. And we genuinely get excited over having them. But then we carry them and find out things about them that don’t meet our needs. I also th8nk we fall fir the “hype” of certain bags and get sucked into that. But I have downsized a lot of my luxury bags and I do still buy the coach bags and Tory, long champ, etc. but ultimately we all have a “bag personality” that’s in our DNA just like our actual personality. And no matter how much we try to change certain things about ourselves or the bags we buy….it doesn’t work out. Lol. Eventually though we get to a stage in life where we know what we like and need and 5 bags that fulfill those requirements makes us content lol. But until we reach that stage in our lives…we continue to ride on the bag addiction hunt 🎠 carousel.

I have the exact same Kira and I never carry it as well. From what I can discern it's mostly because the hardware is too darn shiny and is a strange orangey, gold tone. I like the shape and capacity but other things like the closure being kind of fussy (you need to squish the bag to close it) give me pause before I use it. Because of this I started looking at the bags I use the most and began writing lists of things I like about each of them. Turns out I like compartments, zipper closures on the top and wide, all leather straps. None of which the Kira has. The lost has really prevented some rather bad purchase decisions.

Another vote for loving this casual background 🙂 I have the YSL medium Loulou and while I love it I have to say it gets quite heavy compared to other shoulder bags like the Noe or speedy b. You might find it uncomfortable. I love the Tory Burch Kira bag. I’ve been eyeing that style in the smallest size for a dressier dinner bag.

I had the Edie but sold it because I never used it! For me, it felt like the chains were heavy and loud. It just felt cumbersome if that makes any sense. Plus, there was no top handle and I'm finding I really prefer bags with that style to have a top handle--way easier to grab and go. I'm really trying to use everything I have but I am teleworking and only go to work maybe two days a week?! When I do work, my bag mostly stays in the car. When I am off, I don't really go anywhere but when I do, I use cross body bags because I like to be hands free! Bummer about the Coach bag straps falling off your shoulder!! I hate that!!

Logging your bag use is a great idea! Thanks for the vid and the video recos. I rotate my bags so they get an equal amount of use and love. Older, pre-loved, and vintage ones are used less so they get more rest in between usage to extend their lives.

I absolutely love the look of the Edie, but found that because it’s not one large opening in the bag , I couldn’t fit as much. The divider with the zipper may work for some people, but it just didn’t work for me. I was surprised that I could fit my things more comfortably in the MAC bag (regular size, not the mini). And, it was a pain to line up the snap just right to be able to close it. I wore them maybe twice and I was done. So, I sold my two Edie bags.

I bought some newer Coach bags from their 1941 collection that I haven't used. Unfortunately, they are too small. I like bags that fit my sunglasses and they don't fit. I generally don't go out in the evenings except to go out to eat once a week, so I don't even use them as casual "evening" bags.

I had the Edie and while I loved the look there's 2 reasons I sold it. 1 being it was too heavy. It's not big enough to use as a work bag and too heavy to use as a running around town bag. 2 the magnetic on it was so strong I was afraid that it would rip. I currently have the kira bag and I haven't used it yet and I need to.

I haven't carried my Edie bag yet and I was influenced by someone to get it. However it is really pretty, and like you I haven't been out as much as I usually would due to the pandemic. Hopefully I will carry it before long. Mine has a top handle as well as the shoulder strap. Good day!

I haven't carried the gold one (maybe once) but I've carried the others a few more times. I'm just annoyed but the thin straps. Otherwise, they're a perfect bag. I do think the pandemic has a lot to do with it. My bag choices have changed a lot since then. I've also downsized my purse a lot. This is going to take some analysis to figure out.

I own the small Kira, and medium and small edie- all in neutral colours and I wear all of them quite a bit. I consciously don’t over pack them because I can’t stand when they are heavy so even when the bag is bigger I pack light…I love my Kira and have the batch with the very soft leather - noticed they are not all the same…I also don’t like how the flap sticks out on the edie - Kira doesn’t do that for me…

Late to the game but I have found that the leather straps if I have a shade pad put on the underside they stay on my shoulder but then you can have a double stitch on the handle and a modified bag which if you ever plan to sell is not cool

Nice video, as always! 😀. I have also been wary of using my Longchamp bags a lot. One things I do to help with that is add an insert. It helps protect the corners and keeps me organized. There are some inexpensive ones that work quite well on Amazon.

Long time watcher but first time commenting ☺️ I purchased the Rebecca Minkoff Edie Maxi after watching your review (and obsessing over it for bit). I agree with you. It’s a beautiful bag and I wear it with certain outfits but it doesn’t quiet fit as much as you would think for the size of it. Because of that, I don’t wear it near as often as I planned. I don’t always need every bag to be super functional (lol) but for how bulky of a bag it is, it just feels like it should fit more. Wondering if I should sale it for the Tory Burch Kira Shoulder bag now 🤔 Anyway, love your content!

I have the Edie in black and only used it once. Just like you said, I grab what I don’t have to think about and I know works. For grocery shopping, Home Goods, Costco it has to be cross body so I grab my Turenne PM or NeoNoe and once in awhile Speedy B30. In the mountains in Utah it is all weather dependent. I do want the YSL LouLou too but have not PTT (pulled the trigger) for the same reasons. I have not used my Coach Alexa once in almost 2 years - I guess I don’t go to enough wedding or funerals lately 🤦‍♀️ and it’s too small for the daily. I am loving the different backgrounds and that natural light is stunning. BTW, I have really nice shoulders that would be happy to carry your green Coach bucket duffle… me and hundreds of others. 😉💙🐶🐶

As much as I love my bags and am always seeing new bags that I’d love to buy I end up wearing one bag for weeks. I think it’s partly because when I get a new bag I just want to use it so much and partly because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to switch to another. I used my Alma BB for better part of the year and since buying my Neverfull MM in the Damier Ebene a few months ago I’ve been wearing that pretty much every day. That being said, I haven’t gone far other than for a drive with my husband or to friends’s homes. I don’t have a job to go to and quite often I don’t leave my home for days. Hopefully things are getting better and I will get out more and want to change up my bags more often.😊

Maybe the base of your Coach duffle is so wide it won't balance on your shoulder - it sits too far to the side. It's a gorgeous bag, too bad it doesn't work for you.

I have the Willis too, purchased in 1995. It has seen better days and for the last decade was stored squashed in a box. I’ve been on a vintage Coach buying spree since I learned that people are washing their unlined bags. I started doing that too and I’m going to eventually do that to the Willis. I can reshape it while it’s air drying. The Willis is one of the few bags in my collection that has a long enough strap for crossbody. I’m a little plus sized. But for my other vintage Coach bags I’m going to use nylon straps that I got on Amazon. I may look at Dress Up Your Purse too.

I have the RM denim edie and I find the chain to short. I like to carry my bags cross body and it is simply too short for that. Plus the chain is really heavy and adds too much weight to it. I even bought the HRH chain to have a short strap but it was such a disappointments.

I have the Kira and the YSL puffer in army green. I love them both. I carry the YSL as long as the weather is okay. I use the Kira if it may rain 🌦I’m in CT, it rains a lot here 😀

I have an Edie and when I first got it I thought, this is it for me this is the best bag ever, love the back pocket. Even though I’m more of a big bag tote person and find flap bags very cumbersome to use. But I fell in love with the bag. However I continued to buy other bags and fell out of using it as much. Now when I try and go back the flap annoys me, the super strong magnet bugs me sometimes, and honestly I wish they had made the interior with nicer material, it is so thin and cheap feeling. And I agree the straps dig in a bit. Idk, absolutely gorgeous bag but I think I just want something I can get in and out of without thinking about it.

I have two Stella McCartney Falabella totes, and they are beautiful, but the chains are so heavy that they’re not practical for carrying if you’re going to be running around a lot. I wish I could wear them more often, but since I’m usually going going going from morning until night, that heavy chain can become very annoying by the end of the day.

Lately, I have not purchased any bags due to not using the many that I have. We love bags, but I think that I need to sell a few. 😂 How often have you used any of the Hermes dupes? Love the video, Autumn!

If you want to try to make those Coach bags work, you could try to use some sticky silicone strips underneath the strap to keep it from slipping. Otherwise I have bags I like but don’t use for one reason or another! I have tried the bag log and it is helpful!

It's so pretty. I need to carry it. I use a Le Pliage daily as my work bag but I keep it inside my rolling cart so you don't even see it...so for that reason I just use my basic black with brown handle one.

I have a couple of Orotons I have never used or only used once. I love the look of them, but both of the bags seem a little too 'girly' for me. I have the Rebecca Minkoff edie bag and like you, I don't use it. Still love it but just don't reach for it. I think it's because it's smaller than what I usually use, I love totes and the ease of them. With the edie I would have to down size but that goes for all my other smaller bags. I should just really try and use it soon, I don't need half the stuff I carry in totes anyways.

No judgment here. I'm of the opinion that you should use your bags (for example, I carry my Reissue which is a scary bag) but I'm also okay with some bags sitting on the shelf to be admired. Whatever works for you.

That’s unfortunate news that you’ll have to get rid of all of those beautiful vintage Coach bags. They’re so well crafted and durable. However, the strap falling off is a big deal. When you think back to when you could have worn your bags, do you remember what you used in their place? Do you feel another style has met the same purpose for you?

Look at the Basquiat bag like your Jill Mauer jewelry. Some people might say that her designs are too fancy to wear everyday but you use and enjoy them. That Beat bag would jazz up any neutral outfit.
