Rieko was a good center when our team dominated the breakdown and created space rather than trying to bash through with 12 and 13. Stop playing short balls and give them some width to use their pace and strength rather then coming through the middle. This would work with Proctor. @@pohutukawajay it's completely about the 12. The 12 and 13 need to work in tandem with each other. The centre pairing complement each other. Those players you mentioned have more space to work with that is why you see them on the wing usually getting the ball at the end of the line. Hence why Rieko did those same things when he was in the wing position. Its completely about the 12, 13 combo. And before that, the 9 and 10 combo.

Ask world rugby. Ever since the southern hemisphere dominated 2015 RWC rugby has lost the running part of the sport. The speed of the game is gone. Set piece after set piece is what we have now. Look at the breakdown. The amount of infringements to slow down attacking ball and team are getting away with murder, Yet the people who run the sport doesn't care at all. World rugby did everything to make the Lions win a series in NZ and since 2017 we have shit officiating in every single test. Its bad and the so called rugby fans don't even see it. Just like F1 and football my love for sport is dying because of idiots who runs it.

@LandyFortuin fun fact... there was nothing wrong with the rugby laws at the end of 2015. We saw great tests leading up to it. Different teams had periods of success with different rugby philosophies. You could win tests with a light mobile forward pack and run teams off the park. Yet it was a delight to watch these contests. It's like watching the best boxers going at it. Different styles, different philosophies. Look at the game now. You need a big, strong forward pack. That excell at set pieces and collision both sides of the ball. Strong defense, kicking, and an aerial game to win the middle third. Win penalties in thru scrums, breakdown turnovers, etc. Choices, go for 3 points, or enter the 22 for a line out thru kicking. Options driving maul or first phase attack move. If it doesn't work. Keep the ball tight and apply pressure thru. Pick and go or play off 9 with big ball carriers until the defense narrows up. Attacking options play short ball off 10 to forward or center as ball carrier, or it's a decoy with depth runners with ball out the back. Or the cross field kick/ kick in behind the rush defense. We have seen exactly it in every test since 2017.

New obstructing the defenders path to the catcher law needs another look in. A lifter at a kickoff has his back turned to the oncoming defenders. High ball can drift and the primary catching pod wont always be in the optimal position. There is simply no time to react and change line and it is far too easy for a defender to milk a penalty by colliding into a stationary player. On a kickoff, that's the easiest available 3 points in the history of the game... Especially once coaching staff catch on and strategize around the law.

What a mess! Where is the cohesiveness like the French and SA? One Barret in the bin (again) and Beauden trying to almost win the game by himself. Italy was just trying to disrupt the AB'S and were succeeding as the AB's looked unsure, rushed and backfooted. At this stage looks likely that the Wallabies will beat them.

Not a croc roll, that requires a twisting motion and a hand on the leg. Abysmal refereeing. Made even worse by the fact that two other refs literally said this last week. Where is the consistency?

Review of the match: a great match almost ruined by the neverending psycological fear of refrees to take decisions against Ab's for half the second half. Ab's do not need that gifts, they can beat anyone fairly.
@JTAIT-b7g5 күн бұрын
Mate you complain about the referee every time Italy lose😆
@solinvictus12345 күн бұрын
@JTAIT-b7g Mate, i was more than happy to see Italy lose fair and square in a fair rugby match. Then the refree in the second galf started to addres the game on Ab's side and things like: no yellow to Tuipuloto on that shoulder/head tackle (with mitigation that's yellow, not just faul) and other questionable calls by the refree. Why ruin a so beautiful match in that way is beyond me.
