Man, you’re really tricking out your bike. I dig the customizations you’re doing. I’m thinking of going with the Armadillo 5gal. fuel bag from Giant Loop for extending carrying extra fuel myself. Looking forward to your next video.

Good video man. Do you need a low pressure fuel pump to get all the fuel out? In-line or in tank type or just gravity feed? Looks like the inlet of your stock tank that you’re using is higher than the output line of the reserve tank. Just wondering. Thanks for all the great information!

So I am not the inventor of this system, many folks have done it just the way I did, so I'll say you do not need a fuel pump. However when I field test it later today on my way to Dallas, I will know for sure...Thanks for watching....Dave

Did you have a valve to turn to start the flow? Gravity fed I assume?
@KendallAdventureandTravel Жыл бұрын
No valves, its gravity fed...Works great until it gets over 105 degrees...Dave

where does your vent line connect? do you have a vent on the aux tank somewhere?
@KendallAdventureandTravel Жыл бұрын
You connect the Aux tank fuel line to the vent line on the main tank, meaning you pull off the main tanks vent line and replace it with the fuel line from the aux tank. Then the vent line from the aux tank, runs out the back near the license plate, works as the vent for both tanks...Dave

Dave, How are you making out with the tank venting? About to either do what you did or go the bulkhead route. Not 100% sure. worried about the high temps and putting lots of stress on my fuel pump. any tips or comments? thanks!
@KendallAdventureandTravel Жыл бұрын
Tank works great, no issues. I did finally run the vent line down the back and onto the Pannier mount near the license plate, does that make sense? Some folks drill out the red vent piece on the tank to fill faster but I don't see the need....Dave
@TURKIABEAST Жыл бұрын
@@KendallAdventureandTravel why run the vent all the way down to the plate? Also when installing the line to the red piece, did you clip it on there?
@KendallAdventureandTravel Жыл бұрын
@@TURKIABEAST So the line on the red fitting, I did safety wire it on, just to be safe. As far as running the vent all the way down to the plate, the IBA wants it as low as possible, everyone on a GSA sort of puts it there and they are ok with it...Dave

@@KendallAdventureandTravel follow up. Did you run your fuel line down the where the front forks are or did you stay tight to the tank. And split the air box and the tank

Things went great, no issues...I did 413 miles before the fuel light came on. I was only riding 75mph but still I added 125 miles of fuel....Dave
