1:34 is Slaven's fault, DP plebs or not. You can't just take off when the pace car leaves the surface if you're not leading the field. Leading your class doesn't give you control of the start if their are any cars gridding in front of you, no matter how much you want to get the jump on p2 in class.

I agree. I'm under the same understanding, that each racer waits in queue, one in front of the other, matching the speed of the person in front of them. As for P2, they would do the same as that would cause accidents w/ the great differences in speed. Real or iRacing/Sim. I've had the same thing happen to me when I was a rookie and they tried to blame the person in first like they were an idiot. Truth is, Pole Position not only grants you first in the starting grid, it also gives you the choice to walk the car to the start/finish line on the starting lap, even after the pace car enters the pits. It is the driver's responsibility in Pole Position to not pass the pace car before it enters the pits. Too bad if all other cars get antsy, it's not the slow start that screws up the pace, it's the impatient imbeciles in the back that plow thru traffic because they aren't paying attention to ahead of the car in front of them. It's a cop out, for a bad irresponsible move on P2's part. It's one of the main privileges of Pole Position to choose at will when to and how to accelerate into a green light on the starting lap. If this were a standing start, it would no longer be an advantage of Pole.

In defense of the guy though, I don't really know why the DP doesn't just go. It's not like he's got to wait for an opportune time to get the jump on someone. If you are a lone driver in the fastest class, just go. No good comes from waiting.

Even if you do have only one monitor, you'll have much more control if you use a small fov if that is fitting with your size and distance of your monitor. It may look a little strange first, but cars in front of you have their right size this way, as they would in real life. And its much easier to measure your distance to breaking points, apex and so on. There are fov calculators for almost any game like AC, PC, iRacing etc. .

one driver really cannot drive away from everyone else generally (yes if you dig hard enough, you can find an exception to that rule, i know) on an oval like they normally do on circuits. battles happen constantly on ovals rather than the more spread out racing you get in general on a circuit. because cars dont drive away from one another, pit strategy is so much more important on an oval for those people that are into the strategic side of racing.

Rob pesantezza when you play it, it’s not as bad as it seams, especially with the newer cars. Sometimes there’s some good detail in there. And though the graphics sucks, the visual effects, like windshield getting dirty, or even the dirt or grass running off your car, is pretty good. I wish iracing would update their graphics, but it’d take way too much. They’ll probably have to change a lot about their game engine. So yeah, although the graphics are terrible, they can’t really do much about it. Instead they try to provide other updates like a newer damage model and better racing. Game is pretty expensive tho sheesh.
