What happens if your seed tile requires you to place resources, off the board? For example at the top most row of the board there are only 3 out of 6 hexes available to place resources on.

In that case you simply do not place the resources that have no valid home.

What version is this? I seen other versions with plain single color farms with a black symbol on them. BGG doesn't discuss this.
