AV8-T Transmission Mount for Ford Flathead 3 Speed Using Early Ford Parts!

Hey there KZbin, AJ here!
Here in Chapter 12 of my 1927 Ford T Touring hot rod build I start to install the motor and transmission into the Model A frame and of course run in to all kinds of problems. I started off planning to work on the motor mounts but quickly realized I needed to locate and mount the transmission first to determine the correct location for the motor mounts.
So I shifted gears (get it? 🤣) and started fabricating the tranny mount out of a 46 Ford trans mount and adapting it to the Model A crossmember

I'll be building this as a traditional build but not to a single time period. I'm building a car that would have been constantly modified from the 40's in to the 60's. My goal is to use all parts from before 1966 (the year I was born).

Good progress! You might be able to fix the fan problem with an electric fan mounted to the radiator instead of one hanging off the front of the engine.

Trying to keep the build all traditional so an electric fan would be a last resort. I’ve since sourced a radiator that I think will give me room to keep my mechanical fan.
