Bad recording to be honest. Heard this song live a number of times and it's been way better. The backing vocals are way too loud and there were a few parts where the timing is off slightly. Probably due to monitor problems. I imagine playing in a venue that large it's bound to happen. This performance is missing a lot of key elements during the first breakdown and it's a shame. It's one of the best parts of the song. One thing that does stand out with every Avantasia album is the bass. It's present and extremely well done. Mastered to perfection. Simple lines and rhythm but has a huge impact on the song.

Ojalá pudiera por lo menos hacer una baja performance como esta jajaj. Sí, su voz está así por el cansancio. La gira de Moonglow fue demasiado extensa y con muchos viajes, y sus canciones son demasiado exigentes, aunque no creo que sea algo para alarmarse, su voz es impecable aún!

I heard on the tour and there was no any issue with Tobias voice. If you listen with care, the instruments and the backing singers sounds are really bad too, so it possible was some recording/mixing issue.

Yo idk why I comment after 2 years but i think what you meant is that his voice is ruined not by a recording issue but just from being burned out. After 2 years he is sounding in my opinion clearer but i miss his days that he could scream like a beast, I think that's the issue, when he sings scarecrow or other heavy screaming songs is just like he starts doing the vocals and then he can't "utter" the scream coz his voice fades away during it every single time he catches high notes
