+MrMummy15 Exactly. You have to remember that the ESC is still mostly dominated by radio-friendly pop music. Even Mystery of the Blood Red Rose is way over what usually gets spotlight there. I think the last band who even got any meaningful attention despite being hard rock was Lordi back in 2004.

Cheirando Rola well to be honest, I dislike the cheesyness and lyrics as well... but I can't agree about the singers. Daniel Heiman, Andre Matos, Kiske, those people are insane technical vocalists that I have yet to see someone copy properly. Ok.. First impression of the titletrack: Avantasmic! (Avantasia + orgasmic that is;) Like a tasteful hybrid between "Wastelands" and "Where clock hands freeze", with all the right elements for making a new Avantasia favourite. When I hear this treat I see the story of melodic Power Metal flash before my eyes! It's about to get cheesy and nostalgic folks.. I see Eagles fly free on Wings of Destiny, I'm a Traveler in Time on a Power Quest Anywhere in the Galaxy, I'm following the Evening Star towards The Heart of Storm into the Forest of Elves above the Valley of the Damned, I'm Heeding the Freedom Call while I feel the Glory of the World in The Center of the Universe, The Spirit Never die as I Carry On like a Blank File into the Holy Land of Black Wind Fire and Steel Beyond the Stars I Reach out for the Light and finally I see the Emerald Sword before me in The Theater of Salvation.. I think I speak for every "true" Melodic Power-Metal fan when I say that this new Avantasia album will define the genre in 2016. Metal for life my brothers

But I guess I find it a bit "unusual" (again look it up), if you are into the MELODIC part of powermetal, that this song does not do it for you with soaring melodies, speedy doublebassdrums and mr Kiske golden voice on top of a strong Sammet composition.. it got most of the elements wouldnt you say? That being said, this song is not the best mel.power song I've heard, not at all, but it is still awesome and great nostalgic. Keep it "true" and Metal up your ass;)..
